Just bought 1600 Microsoft points, and I don't know what to use them for...

peggle and trials HD are the 2 most addictive XBLA games in my opinion!

other than that Castle Crashers is a fantastic value.

They don't have to be spent now. Is there something I should be waiting for? I don't know where to find a list of upcoming XBLA titles.

If you can wait.

Perfect Dark.

If you can't?

Trials HD.

If you can afford it.

BOTH

Braid is really good, it has some awesome time based puzzle and a wonderful presentation. Be aware that the game is extremely short though. You'll finish it in a few hours. It's not necessarily a bad thing since the game relies heavily on its quirky level design, and it's a puzzle game at its core, so making it longer wouldn't have done much good if it was with anything than more clever puzzles. Since you're short on points, it might enter into consideration.

Portal is another awesome puzzle game, but maybe you should consider getting it on PC. That said, Portal works pretty well with a pad. Like Braid, it's a pretty short game, but it's longer (5-6 hours?) and you can definitely get a lot of playtime if you get into the challenge rooms things.

Lumines is good, but not the 360's dpad. I strongly suggest you to get it on any other imaginable machine or to get a controler with a decent dpad.

Psychonauts is not a very good video game. But it's still a very good experience because the universe and writing is awesome. But maybe you should try to get a second hand Xbox copy of this game. I'm sure you can find a really good deal on eBay.
I can't comment on Castle Crasher since I can't stand beat-em-all for more than 2 minutes.

I strongly suggest Geometry Wars 2, Megaman 9 (but like Lumines, the dpad can be troublesome, but Megaman isn't about super twich reflex or controls, it's more about not acting like a moron and figuring out what to do than executing it). Shadow Complex is also pretty awesome, not Super Metroid awesome, but good enough to be compared.

Hmmm out of the games I've purchased I've enjoyed:

Lumines LIVE
Johnny Platform's Biscuit Romp (Under XBL Indie games) - Only 200 points!
Sonic 3 400 points
Banjo Kazooie
Castlevania: SOTN
Super Street Fighter 2 HD Remix
UNO
Zuma
Ninja Gaiden Black (Xbox Originals)

Irrelevant since Trials HD is already out.

You shut your whore mouth.

Trials is good as well.
Played it through once, and it was average at best. It had good production value, but besides the last boss, it was forgettable.

Thought about DLC? If you have GTAIV wait a week for Gay Tony to release.

I thought about buying the mirrors edge trials pack. I wish it was a bit less though, 10 bucks seems a little steep. But I do really love the game.

Oh, and does Geometry Wars 2 have online multi? Or just local?

Just local, but hte multiplayer is no reason whatsoever that I'd ever play it. It has intense leaderboard support (add me if you buy it, tag is same as here) and amazing single player. It's my pick for anyone, first thing out of my mouth generally. Very arcade-y. If you don't like besting yourself (and then others on friend's list), it may not be for you. But my goodness I love the graphics, music, and gameplay. Great, great game.

Quick question, I have an Australian xbox, and so Ninja Gaiden Black isn't available for me to download. If I make a UK account, could I download it?

I'm going to throw a shout out to the excellent Mutant Storm games that have thus far gone unmentioned in this ancient thread.

Wait what's happened here, I thought this thread was bumped
