This happens every time with those threads. "Surprisingly" enough I don't see as much posts in the "XXX game is UNPLAYABLE on PS4/Pro!" threads that pop-up on Neogaf saying "that's why I don't play on console".

And now, in the next thread about how PC gaming is terrible and so on, you'll get people using this thread as some sort of example that PC releases are all fucked up and you have to spend hours to fix all problems.

It gets annoying I just ignore that noise now. Now that Forza Horizon 3 is installed it is running at 60fps locked at 1080p on high with my 1070. I'll take that, especially after all the frame rate horror stories I read. Maybe that is just for ultra.

The games are fine, but the store is trash. I got Gears4 for free from buying a 1070 but the biggest issue I faced was downloading the thing. I had to restart and cancel it about 10 times and even then I could only get it to download at CRAWLING speeds. I had to dedicate an entire day to download a game that should have been downloaded in a few hours. In 2017 that's a joke.

I learned you can't let the store get interrupted... otherwise you will lose the download. I turn off all power safety settings when I download gears and Forza from win 10 store.

This is what gaming on windows store entails. I have tried the last couple days to buy recore with ms store credit and it won't go through. I don't know why I even bother. It's a mess from every angle.

Even in Surfer's Paradise and the forest? I have a 1070 as well and just last week I still had drops in the 50's in those areas.

Isnt back-sit modding kinda frowned upon? If this was a tech support forum I could understand wanting the thread to get closed but as far as I can tell the two issues are related.

On topic: These horror stories are pretty much the reason why I've been avoiding the WS even though I want GOW4. Hopefully it gets fixed soon

I mean I thought it was getting pretty off topic, yeah I was definitely backseatting. But yeah it really does suck that these problems exist. Thankfully it's really simple to fix.

If you call what the op had to go through as an easy fix, im curious to know what you consider difficult.

I mean Doge to Doge here. If creating a new account is difficult then I guess modifying the registry through a live OS would be an example of difficult for me, but even then the difficult part of that is just figuring what exactly is wrong. I've done that like 2-3 times.
