Just bought my first house and looked in the loft...

Probably the cliche "Wasn't a kid who wrote it, but a 30-something developmentally disabled person who was locked perpetually in the attic by his crazy mom, and like aliens are somehow involved". "Grandma's house" referring to the aforementioned alien's spacecraft or the sweet release of death or both if you want to get weird.

Hah, hah, that's nothing. I looked at a house once that had a nice big second story room. In that room was a nice big walkin closet. In that closet was a lottle door, leading into a smaller closet-like space. In that small,space was yet another door, this one leading into an attic space, unlit, showing the brick exterior and wood framing of the house. In this space, TWO little rooms removed from the rest of the house and a hallway, was a little chair, like what a kid would use, facing the back wall.
Maybe it was left there for storage, maybe it was the hellish "time-out" room of a little kid, maybe it was the prison of a kidnapped child. I don't know and we tore like hell getting out of there!

My uncle bought and started renovating this old house my entire family used to live in over 20 years ago on top of this hill in Echo Park (Los Angeles). There are these set of stairs outside that leads to the second floor and when I was younger, I remember hearing someone running up and down the stairs in the middle of he night. My brothers, cousins, and aunts had also told me they would occasionally hear that among experiencing other abnormal things. Anyway, the renovators were rebuilding the storage/closet right under the stairs when they noticed a hole in the wall. They realized there was something behind it so with my uncle's permission, they tore down the wall and found a small hallway that got smaller as it got closer to the bottom of the stairs. At the end of the hallway was a skull of some type of animal and a note with a man's name written on it...the creepiest part? My uncle asked the neighbor next door if they knew who it was and she told him that he was the owner of the house that lived there some 30 years ago and he died from falling off the stairs...

I think they must have been youngish, as there's a really disheveled abandoned sandpit in the garden overran with weeds. Also one of the rooms is a really pink princess room.
