Not sure if any game has made me smile as much as Just Cause 2*, and the JC3 footage has the same effect. Can't wait!

Watched it on mute with the Future album in the background- needless to say, that was one of the most impressive open worlds I've ever seen. The level of destruction, the level of creativity in really blowing things up, flying from the wingsuit and stopping before hitting the ground- god damn. I think the shooting needs a little bit of work- it doesn't feel like it has enough impact, but this world is so massive!

Looks absolutely fantastic gameplay wise. The only thing that looks sketchy is the driving physics. It still looks stiff like in Just Cause 2. Hopefully that is fixed.

It looks like you don't use the parachute to travel anymore, but to shoot stuff from above.

That's definitely something I would do. C4 is just about my family favorite item in a game, so to see it as such a focus makes me happy.

Parachute is to better aim and shoot while in the air I think, since it's slower.

Really bummed that this game doesn't have Mercenaries style destruction for buildings outside of the super obvious red structures. Makes it feel rather hollow, especially at that level of fidelity. Still should be good fun though.

I really wish there was some sort of Coop component, it would be perfect for the JC sandbox honestly..
It seems like it improves in this area compared to JC2 though. I agree that the ultimate would be Mercenaries-level destructibility.

They've described the parachute as now being a combat platform, and the wingsuit replacing it for traversal.

because NerdCubed loves JC2 and promoted it heavily in the past, so SE wanted to pay him back
They say they've reconfigured it to be more of an aerial combat platform. So wingsuit is for travel, parachute is for using your guns and safer travel.

I'm hoping they work on that as an expansion or even a free update after the game is out. From the way they've worded it, I don't think they've ruled out co-op entirely, it just won't be a part of the base game.

In a way this is better than the e3 demo because it really shows how I'll play and there's no artsy camera angles, and even though the presentation and editing is super "youtubey" as you guys say, he still does a rather good job of highlighting the cool stuff.

Couldn't wait for wingsuit, redownloaded jc2 and installed some mods. So much fun and runs really damn well. Just need to disable motion blur and the bokeh setting and it looks pretty good too! Have it running at max except 4xAA in 4K and it's using 50% of a 980ti.
Definitely getting JC3 for the extra polish, but maybe after a sale or when there's a mod for switching between first and third person for that scenic flying.

Funnily enough, Just Cause 2 (at least on PS3, can't speak for other versions) had a built-in share feature that works almost exactly the way it does on the current consoles. The video quality was pretty bad, but it was still a nice feature to have.

Are these games actually good or just quirky? I've never played them.
The enemies could be more interesting. Game reminds me of Infamous Second Son in a way - great traversal mechanics, but meaningless pack enemies.
If they fired slow-moving, dodgeable, dangerous projectiles it'd be really fun. This "see protag and constantly hit him with piss-weak bullets" thing is never fun.
