For me it's not the bullets so much as the enemy formations and how they spread about.
Okay I know what they're going for, a playground for you to do whatever...but why would I even play through the story I could do that now just by exploring and not having to really care about it, just doing what I want. - that's what I did in JC2 and that's what I'm probably going to end up doing in JC3.
What I was hoping for was less-traditional enemy positions and groups in story sequences. Like sure they're in the tower and will come when it's under attack. But if you play this in story mode, some crazy shit happens that's different.
Like bring in trucks and trucks of enemies and vehicles. Have them whip out some mech suits or something. Unleash all the grapples.
Needs more saints row. Maybe they have some of that...
It's a damn fun game though, totally forgot how fun it can be. Installed some simple stuff to JC2 - first person flying, long and strong grapples, crazy civilians and some super rocket launcher (which you can fire while flying). So everything is chaotic and planes are constantly crashing (crazy civs mod) so I just go superman flying about (a bit hard to get used to and control) looking for planes to rescue just before they crash.
The landscape visuals with the sea, mountains, hills, ocean and various coloured skies with the night/day cycle - you get some gorgeous views. Like 9.5-10/10. Surprising for quite an old game.
