Just Cause 3 gameplay trailer up

So what details do we have? Is there multiplayer? What's the fps and resolution? How big is the map?

All this needs to be is an even prettier JC2 and I'll buy it. I had so much fun with it last gen.

Unfortunately, that trailer had an opposite effect than intended. It reduced my hype. You could me convince that was Just Cause 2. Soooo similar. And how is that gameplay? That's nothing like what it will look like when actually playing. For the record, I was a huge fan of Just Cause 2. I just don't want the same game with prettier graphics.

That IS gameplay. They just played with the camera is all.

No idea what you could have been expecting this game to look like then. Just Cause 2 was successful because of it's mobility, chaos and it's world. Clearly Avalanche is holding to this formula, but changing the setting, adding new gameplay elements and iterating on what made the game popular. This is the game that most fans, myself included, have been waiting for.

Yeah, that's what I mean though. It's not how the game will look when I play it. So it's not particularly useful. I do recognize that most games start their advertising in that way. I just much prefer Mad Max's style of trailer.

The setting looks very similar from what I can see, not that it's necessarily a bad thing. I guess I would just prefer to see what's new highlighted in my first introduction to the game. What was shown looks almost identical to Just Cause 2. I was hoping for something more exciting/unique in the big reveal. I know I'll love the game, but this just didn't get me excited is all.

Yes, it was my opinion. I think there's no need to put microtransactions in a single-player only game, and if someone does, for me is a reason not to buy it. Just like AC:U where you could pay 12€ to have the best sword in single-player.

In any case, I thought I was updated on the question. I admitted my guilt and again, thre's no need to be rude.

Stop being "OMG you are not updated on the question, go kill yourself".

Subject close.

The Just Cause series has historically always had a shitton of DLC.

Trust me when I say you weren't missing out on anything by not buying it.

And if you do want it, they get really really dirt cheap when steam sales roll around.

If any game needs a "slomo-button" this would be it. My god, with PS4 and X1 it's so easy to record video and share with friends a game that can present really cool moment practically sells itself via consumers word of mouth, but video enhanced.

Yeah you heard me Avalanche. Slomo-button. Action-movie style.

Graphics are pretty disapointing, when I saw the trailer i expected a ps360 release....
Lighting is oldgen, so the effects (no motion blur since JC1 and 2 got it) and modelisation. Max max looks way better

A shitton of DLC?
Did we play the same game?

Chevalier Ice Breaker - Free
Tuk Tuk Boom Boom - Free
Chaos Parachute - Free
Ricos Signature Gun - Free
Bulls Eye Assault Rifle -Free
Agency Hovercraft - Free
Chevalier Classic - Free

Monster Truck - $1
Black Market Aerial Pack - $2
Black Market Boom Pack $2

5 whole dollars worth of paid DLC, note that the Black Market packs had some of the most fun weapons in gaming history.

Love Just Cause 2, but I really hope that they improve the gunplay and driving. And give planes some rudder control.

They need to fix flying in general. Please give us dual analog flight for helicopters similar to Battlefield. And for the love of god please stop making the camera turn when the planes yaw! That shit is disorienting.

Can we stop this trend of every new other release melting computers?

The second game wasn't even demanding for how good it looked. I remember it being small in size too (in disk space I mean).

Dice got completely shit on for showing a "gameplay" trailer from fancy camera angles. Everyone was all "show us real gameplay."

It's understandable to want to see what he game looks like from a player's perspective. These types of trailers do nothing for me.

Going to wait on this game. As much as I loved causing chaos in jc2, this looks like I'm rebuying buying that game from that video. Think a steam sale situation again for me.

Lets be real though, the majority of the people who end up buying games are drawn in by an exciting, well cut trailer. It's only the people who take games as serious business that care about to seeing a representative product right off the bat. The number of dislikes on the trailer barely even register, so the overall reaction has been positive.

The name 'Just Cause' doesn't get as much respect as it deserves. The Devs probably don't leverage it enough in the crazy department either. They have an excuse to literally do anything they want with this game.
