So I ordered pizza from this new place for the first time. Opened the box and saw what I thought was cheese pizza. I was about to go back and return the pizza but then I looked again.

Upon closer inspection it appeared that the cheese was on top and the ingredients were underneath. I thought 'hmm this is new but okay' and dove in. It was amazing. Honestly it'ok be tough going back to regular pizza. The ingredients blend together so much better and the cheese acts as a protective layer keeping the ingredients from falling off. Pizza with the cheese on top is officially the way to go.

My regular pizza place has more or less a 3-layer system. You get a bottom layer of cheese, then a middle layer of topping, then a top layer of more cheese.

It's how pizzas should be.

Cheese on top.

It's better for some toppings than others.

Vegetables remain too watery under the cheese and pepperoni doesn't get crispy. Sausage underneath is great though

I fucking hate when Pizza places put the pepperoni under the cheese. Its not crispy and is just soggy and I dislike pepperoni like that.

Wait isn't this pretty standard

I always put some extra cheese on top of my frozen pizza. Basically it's cheese, toppings and then even more cheese.

Soggy is best. I bet you even want your bacon crispy. What a waste

I have to ask for the toppings to actually be on top where I buy my freshly made pizza as I don't like the toppings covered with cheese. It traps all of the moisture from the vegetables and makes the base soggy when cut.

That's how I always make my pizza, soft, juicy toppings are nicer than crispy and burnt ones.

I think it messes with how it cooks but I never made enough pizzas with cheese on top or ate enough to say there's a big difference.

That's how they do that with loads of places around here. I generally love it, but occasionally you run into those huge pepperoni that scalds your face when they pull cheese.

The only place around here that does it is pretty great. I knew I made the right choice when I walked in and just saw a bunch of Italians wearing wife beaters behind the counter.

FUUUUUCK I want pizza now...

One night of delicious cheesy goodness is worth no food for a few days right? Right?

DAMN YOU OP!!!

Also maybe i'm crazy, but I feel like the Papa Johns Papa's Favorite is the closest a chain does to this without having to ask. The put a ton of cheese on top of the toppings there.
