Ah, you must be a native. Just so I am clear, so because I said the place needs mass transit, your feelings were hurt because you perceived it as me putting down your hometown; so your first thought was to post semi intelligent rebuttals to show I am biased toward my home town (NYC as opposed to Miami)? *chuckle*supabrett said:What are you talking about? You have to call a cab in Florida. That sucks. & the women suck compared to NY, Sheniqua from the bronx kills any FL girl.
This place needs mass transit, thats a fact. Being a part of a community doesn't mean you should stick your uneducated little head in the sand and ignore the short comings. I like Miami but it needs to improve in some ways (which is true of any city under the sun) and thankfully those in charge recognize that fact. They were talking about expanding metromover to that area (midtown/design district/wynwood) and then later said maybe a light rail system. I rather they expand the system they already have now, instead of them further fragmenting by installing yet another technology into the system. For the record, I like Miami I think it has a ton of unrealized potential. I am not so in love with the summer months though, that humidity is ridiculous, but thats just my personal dislike.
As for women, beauty is everywhere.
Anyway enough of this silliness, lets get back to whats popping in Miami.
I think he was being sarcastic because he thought I was putting down Miami or thought, that I thought NYC is so much better. And in some ways NYC is much better than Miami in terms of jobs, business culture, mass transit and things to do. However, Miami is on the come up, has tons of potential and i think it can rival NYC one day, its just not there yet. But if people get involved, press those in charge to step up to the plate I think it will happen sooner rather than later. I know they are already working on redoing some of the processes here. Like how to setup a business in Miami is very convoluted right now, but they are trying to make it a one step process. Miami is definitely getting there._dementia said:Miami has gorgeous women.
