Just Picked Up a Vita, Reccomend me Some Games

Senran Kagura: Shinovi Versus so you can see what all the hubbub is about.

While I do like the game, for a more serious suggestion, give Demon Gaze and the Project Diva games a try. Demon Gaze is a pretty fun drpg with nice art and pretty good production values. I avoided Project Diva f for the longest time because I wasn't into Miku or Vocaloids but I was missing out. It was one of the best games I've played on the Vita and is probably my favorite rhythm game.

Funny enough that is also what I meant xD'
Takedown was never put on PSP

Just Legends and Dominator

But yeah.. neither is Vita compatible.
*I am located in the states btw

I have Burnout Legends on my Vita and put near 10 hours into it :3 It's compatible for US PS accounts but not EU accounts.

Lets have a look at my vita...

JRPG: Persona 4 Golden
FPS: Killzone Mercenaries
Platformer: Rogue Legacy, Muramasa Rebirth, Tearaway
Topdown: The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth, Dont Starve: Giant Edition
Action: Gravity Rush, Freedom Wars
Fighting: Playstation All-Stars

(Most Of these are PS+ games <3)

Tearaway. The real one that's actually built around it's premise of tearing through the paper world with your fingers and looking into it by platform default.

LittleBigPlanet Vita is the best LBP. 1 still has the best soundtrack, but this has the best story mode levels and mini-games, most polished technical peformance, and feels the best physics-wise. If create mode is your thing at all, Vita's interface and bug-free package is the best way to do it imo.

Dragon's Crown is fantastic if you like 2D. Gorgeous beat 'em up RPG hybrid like Castle Crashers or Guardian Heroes, with a lot of play value. Also available on PS3, but I think it's a must-have portable game and some of the things just work better being able to tap the screen instead of move a cursor around with the right stick.

Muramasa Rebirth is you like the look of Dragon's Crown. Beautiful version of the game, by the same developers.

Gravity Rush is soooo good, but if you want to wait for the PS4 touch up, I understand. Great game to have in the library, though.

Hot Shots Golf and Lumines are excellent. Seriously. If you like rhythm games and Japanese stuff at all, Hatsune Miku: Project Diva f2nd is that real shit. Made me a believer.

Rayman Origins if you've never played Origins/Legends on console or PC. Origins is suuuuuch a great platformer, the full experience and feels great with the Vita's dpad.

For digital indie/arcade stuff, get yourself Super Stardust Delta, Motorstorm RC, Soldner X-2, and Binding of Isaac Rebirth to start with.

Just looked more up on it.
Seems in the US it's only available via transfer.

I thought it was exclusive to Sony fuck up day. (which is when I got it)

Anyways op.
If you like Burnout 3 and dont mind PSP graphics. Burnout Legends is a good choice

Hey... I just bought a used PSVITA slim a week ago. Pretty satisfied about it so far (I knew I would). The U.I is quite responsive and effective plus I have already collected a bunch of ps+ games thus far, so my small memory card be damned.

Although, my wife also surprised me with a new PS4 (sexy TPP edition) for my birthday last week, replacing of my lost consoles a month ago. I still love the vita + remote play is awesome.

Ah man, that sucks (the link). Losing games and systems is harsh for a gamer. Glad you've got the ball rolling again and have a partner that's got your back. A handheld like Vita is perfect for the post-Playstation loss feeling imo. Mine is like a gaming bug-out bag to me. Fire? Throw it in the pocket. Kicked out? Throw it in a bag. Break in? It was in the glove box, you fools :P

When I got a PS4 it took most of my attention back too, though. TPP force is too strong.

Danganronpa series is a series worth.
Sly Collection is really good if you missed out on the PS3 release.
PSP there are too many to count ... Loco Roco, Patapon, Jeanne D' Arc, etc.
Disgaea series is always a classic and you can get 1-4 on Vita.

Edit: Also all PSP Go games work on Vita luckily.

I play all the Final Fantasy games on my Vita. They're cheap, small, time consuming, and great fun in smaller doses. Basically, perfect hand held games.

I have Chrino Trigger on there too.

Other than that, I just play PS+ games. I've had my Vita for 3 years now and I don't think there's a "killer app" for the system. Remote play is probably the closest thing.

Soul Sacrifice Delta

Virtue's Last Reward (after playing 9 Hours, 9 Persons, 9 Doors for the DS, emulate as a last resort)

Danganronpa

Steins; Gate

Wipeout 2048

Thomas Was Alone

The Binding Of Isaac

Hotline Miami

Everything with the word Danganronpa in it

Ys: memories of celceta

Muramasa rebirth (buy the DLC too!)

Tales of hearts:R

Get danganronpa. Best two games I've played in years. Incredible.

Anyhow, here's some shots of my collection so far. May help you make some decisions:

I still think you should grab Gravity Rush. It uses the Vita hardware so darn well.

But also TxK. It's the game I've played most on my Vita.

Dragon's Crown (and eventually Muramasa if you really like those games).
Dead or Alive 5 is a great 3D Fighter.
Final Fantasy X is a great port.
DJ Max is also very good (if you like this kind of games).
Deception IV is a LOT of fun.

Digital:
Rogue Legacy, very well suited for handheld gaming.
Jet Set Radio, very good port.
Shovel Knight, fantastic platformer.

Toukiden Kiwami
Dungeon Travelers 2
Operation Abyss
Soul Sacrice Delta
Neptunia series
Atelier games
Sonic & All Stars Racing Transformed

Do you play rhythm games? PSP DJ Max games and the PSV's DJ Max Technica are great games as well. Might as well include the Hatsune Miku games.

Oh and zen pinball as well for pinball on the go. :D

If you enjoy the Monster Hunter style games I recommend Soul Sacrifice Delta, Toukiden Kiwami and Freedom Wars. They are all enjoyable in their own way.

Muramasa is great and beautiful as well.

Ys: Memories of Celceta is also excellent if you enjoy Ys games (real time action RPG, pattern recognition, dodging, combos/skills, tough bosses).

Looks like people have covered the games already released pretty well so I'll recommend some upcoming games to keep an eye out for:

Banner Saga
Bloodstained: Ritual of The Night
Digimon: Cyber Sleuth
Severed
Rainbow Skies
Project Setsuna
World of Final Fantasy

1) Danganronpa 1&2, Another Episode.
2) Persona 3 Portable, Persona 4 Golden.
3) Spelunky
4) the binding of issac.
5) Hotline Miami 1&2.
6) Pix the cat.
7) Corpse Party, Corpse Party book of shadows, Corpse party Blood drive:

Just to name a few games.
