Just started Batman Arkham Knight, how much Batmobile?

I don't know why so many people hated the tank. I loved it and thought it was the best superhero game of all time. Even ahead of Spider-Man.

Man this whole thread has really bummed me out. I bought this game last night on the Steam Summer sale and was excited to play it today after work. Not so much anymore..

At least I have DOOM Eternal to fall back on.

To this point, probably yeah.

But Spider-man was an entry franchise title so, I kind feel it's a little unfair to compare both. One was the culmination of the saga, the other the beginning.

Don't miss out on this one, honestly.

Too much.

I enjoyed everything about the game except for the batmobile. I pulled through the batmobile combat side quests but couldn't handle the Riddler ones.

Ended up watching the true ending on youtube (and I'm glad, not worth it).

It would have been a better game without it.

I know people keep joking about the batmobile section being like a Mario Kart, but for me the worst part of this game is the 'auto saving' feature and there is no manual save as well.

Arkham Knight have the worst auto saving method from this entire generation.

Batmobile was fun to drive and screw around but tank battles...

The worst parts with the batmobile are the race type stuff where you travel fast, especially if you play at high framerates on PC when Unreal Engines asset stream starts choking. 99%+ of the game is just fine and it doesn't ruin the experience completely. 'tis but a minor annoyance.
There's apparently a community mod/fix improving performance further I was unaware of before I finished the game when I played through all the Arkham games back to back two years ago.

And what about you getting a grip instead and let people have their opinions.

For me spiderman has far better traversal and combat (even if inspired by batman) than gotham series and so for me it's simply more fun to play.
Also no fucking batmobile or desolated city for bullshits reasons...

They are all good games and more a matter of taste than difference in quality.

Just load up Arkham City or Arkham Knight, and do the combat scenarios with Catwoman. That alone utterly pulverize anything done in Spiderman so .. yeah thats a real difference in quality. Lol the devs had so much imagination they even put 2 or 3x times the same move to counter shit (the roundhouse move with a web). As far as traversal goes, that's the one thing Insomniac are good at.

I mean if we're honest even Sunset Overdrive is a much better game on all levels than Spiderman, at the end of the day its just a really pretty looking game

I literally stopped playing both origins and knight because i was tired of the combat (and the batmobile in the case of knight) even if the plot was nice in both games, but i greatly enjoyed the combat in spiderman, or there is something wrong in me or batman combat is not objectively better than spiderman as you say.

I liked the focus on how acrobatic, fluid and varied it was, the sensation of being a badass was far greater than batman games for me, yeah boss battles with this type of combat are pretty mediocre, but it is the same for ALL the games with free flow combat like mordor or sleeping dogs or batman, i played all these games, asylum, city and half of knight and origins and i neved had a boss battle sensibly better than what i had in spiderman, just ome different gimmicks here and there.

This is one of the many reason why i generally hate free flow and i have nightmares at night thinking about tsushima having the same fucking combat.

Well I've got some bad news......

Doom eternal is absolute trash compared to 2016 its literally a fucking platformer like thats not doom. And they fucked the sound up it sounds terrible. I'd play batman first honestly

Dude...

QFT. I sold Eternal, I put it away at the halfway point or so and 2016 was perhaps my GOTY. What a travesty. Not only the platforming, but also the ammo management and hazard that disable your movement. I hated it. 64 was pure love though.

I have issues with AK, but I finished the game and in the end its not bad at all, just my least fave Arkham game probably.

Funny enough I just finished playing it and while it was fun for the first couple of levels, the difficulty ramped up way too quickly for me.

Played Batman too, hate the batmobile but at least the AR challenges and DLC are fun.

I liked the batmobile, you could run over criminals, but it doesn't kill them because it electrocutes them!
Spider man is pretty good too in this respect, throw a guy off a building, but he's okay because it's Spiderman!
