If he had cured some horrible disease, or wrote a symphony I don't think anyone would care about his fame. I think it's his relatively fast rise with questionable content/talent that makes people so angry. He is famous for being in the right place, having the right look, and being able to sing good enough. Could have been 100 other dudes but it was him. People get mad.

This really bothers me. It's not quite as bad as being Nickleback were you get rocks thrown at you on stage but to hate on someone so much that you feel the need to, in any way, cause them grief is childish and pathetic... and why? I don't even like the kid, but those first page comments are just low. That's some Youtube level stuff there. It's like those people who started to threaten Rebecca Black because of her crappy week and a half of fame. Kids make crappy music. They've been doing it since at least the 70s. What else is new?

I remember having a similar "hate" for Nsync, the Backstreet Boys, and Hanson that some of you guys have for Bieber. BTW, I was 13-15 at the time, and didn't like them getting the attention from my female classmates.
