Justin Bieber is not a douchebag

That is one ruined human being.

It's kind of sad really. I remember watching TMZ videos of him as a 16 year old and he was so polite to paparazzi and would even close conversations with them by saying "Have a blessed day" while adorning a smile. Now it has gotten a lot uglier.

That's what's saddest about this whole thing. I never jumped to attack him because to me he was just a little kid who had had to grow up too soon.

But nowadays it's hard to not view him as an asshole.

Why does he try to sound alternatively like Batman and Bruce Willis in Die Hard?

Yea. The interviewer asked if Bieber was going to date Selena Gomez "at some point in time." What was the point of asking that in a deposition? Embarrassing all around.

You can't assume facts not in evidence. His defense attorney is being a shit and complaining of relevance, but relevance isn't typically a valid objection in a deposition because there's no judge there. The standard is only calculation to lead to admissible evidence - it doesn't even have to be directly relevant.

clearly a twat, but why would questions like "is it true that usher was instrumental to your career?" be asked at a deposition?

That Selena Gomez question is random though.

Maybe, but they seemed to be asking about a number of his friends/acquaintances etc. I think to maybe determine if it would be worth calling them as witnesses.

e.g. if he expressed sentiments to them about the paparazzi they might be relevant in a case about his security people beating up paparazzi

And anyway, yes, he's a spoilt brat.

US civil procedure GAF: can depositions be made public? I assumed there was much more privacy than shown here. Frankly, it all looks staged and fake to me.

Yeah, given that they later ask if he had conversations about paparazzi with Gomez, I figured they asked the dating question to establish a relationship between the two people who had the conversation. It apparently making Beiber short-circuit was probably a bonus, though.

Yea those questions were pretty awful. I half expected to hear "is your refrigerator running?" And as the look of confusion sets in across Biebers face, the dude grabs the mic and yells "babba booey babba booey Howard stern!" and runs off.

To be fair, that deposition was completely useless. What's he even asking?

I mean, I wouldn't be as angsty as this guy, but I would still be annoyed if I got asked questions about Usher that everybody and their mom knew about.

I'm inclined to believe that the only moment where he was actually honest in that deposition was when they asked him about australia.
Makes you wonder though, the performance Bieber gives throughout these interviews, it's as if he knew this would go public.

He isn't a US Citizen right? Can't the US find some way to revoke his visa (assuming they need one for work? I know they don't need one for visiting or studying) and send his ass back home?

Then again I'm sure JB's lawyer who I'm sure is highly paid would not easily let that happen.

Because depositions can take 7 hours and you can't just jump to the burning question. Its not something you can say without seeing the transcript.

obviously that's the case. this shit is wack. i'd at least be entertained by the cockiness if it wasn't so...rehearsed. nothing genuine in this bad boy attitude
