I'm not overly familiar with pop, but I just can't stomach this constant barrage of cheesy mushy love lyrics. It gets so tiring and predictable, and seems so disingenuous considering the artists themselves are often all about bangin' as many babes as they can and rarely have stable and long-lasting relationships.
Anyway, I somehow like this song less than Suit & Tie. FS/LS is one of the only "pop" albums that I really like, so I had high hopes for this one. It looks like it's not going to be for me though.

This one's kinda tame, but maybe it'll be a grower like Suit and Tie. Definitely enjoying more of the motown inspired tracks like Pusher Love Girl and That Girl though.
Better prepare yourself, his next album won't have the same impact as FS/LS.
I'm wondering if people remember that album as being better than it was, and have dismissed the new songs due to silly expectations? Cuz both new tracks sound FS/LS-worthy to me.
those are THE two flagship JT songs so I am o.k with other of his songs sounding similar.
However this is way too safe, it lacks the awesome production values. What goes Around has like 4 or 5 layers of melodic lines, all done by JT and mixed masterfully, that song is a winner.
This is an O.k. pop song, think of it as "Give me all your luvin'" by Madonna, nice catchy song but forgettable. JT better have something awesome for a 2nd single.
It's clearly very low quality, wait for the album release.

Doesn't strike me as a club banger. It has too much of a power balad sound to it, leaving people wondering whether they should dance, find a slow partner, or just go to the bar to get another drink.
(It's the latter.)

i guess he saw the reaction to Suit & Tie and dropped the 'safe' song as soon as possible. sounds great but damn, it's so safe. if someone told me this was a bonus track on the japanese version of his previous albums i would believe them.

Well this sounded incredibly dated and unoriginal... It's also way too long, such a bland track doesn't need to be this long, what the hell. Also Timbaland hasn't been fresh in years, Justin should have worked with other producers because nobody's here for Timbaland anymore.

it's aiight. I think artists like weeknd, frank ocean and miguel kill this shit on a daily though. It will be a good album but not something I'm anticipating as much as these other dude's next projects.

Britney the lifeless robot alone gets #1 albums/singles on name alone and hype. Justine used her name to propel his career and is still doing it now and STILL can't get a #1 7 years after FS/LS smashed the Pop stratosphere. Come back to me when you have an explanation for that mess.
