iphone sales are going down and with S4 S series would massivley outsell i series in terms of ww sales this year


when your sales go down you marginal cost of production increases , and as you see with Samsung all it takes is just one good series to trounce competition

With Xperia Z SONY can gain significant market share

^ Iphone sales continue to grow, but not proportionately to the overall number of smart phone sales. Iphone's account for less of the total smart phone market now, than they did a year ago. Which begins to explain the company's value on the NASDAQ falling from $700 a share to $400 a share over the same timeframe. There is a lot more competition now that Android has proven it's a viable phone OS (Windows 8 has yet to do so IMO).
