I'd rather watch a film that wasn't based on a video game.

I'd rather watch a film that was based on a video game so long as it was good. Generally, yes, vidya gaem stories aren't usually suited for movies, but some, like Bioshock, I believe could be adapted...at least the whole Bioshock formula. It doesn't even need to take place in Rapture. It could just take place somewhere crazy with the whole steampunk type style Bioshock has always been good with.

Why not make a movie that binds the original and Infinite together?

Wow that's wacky, I just finished reading the first book of the trilogy today, how different it was from the Michael York version. The orginal movie is a favorite of mine, I wonder how much the new script will be with the books. I heard Ryan Gosling was going to be Logan, but I guess that's not going to happen anymore?

I know I'm selfish, but see, if it takes the guy five years to make a game, then think about it, it'll be 2018 before we see the next one at the earliest. That alone is just too long to go without my Bioshock fix. I just hope he's working on this script whenever he's not busy with his next game.

I am not looking forward to this. For the reason that it's a remake. I've never played a game he's written. Well, I played a few hours of Bioshock, but it wasn't very fun to me.

He's making it too complicated for himself though because he wants to make an entirely different game, and that, atm, just isn't feasible in view of how much Bioshock games cost and the time they take to make. He should just port infinite or the original (or 2 ftm).

Without Refn, I have no interest in a remake of Logan's Run. It wasn't even a particularly good film in the first place, outside of how great Jenny Agutter looked in it.

I think a Metroidvania style 2D high res Bioshock would work really well on Vita and with the IP.

True, but it probably wouldn't be Levine doing it. He seems to really like making FPS or just first person games in general. It has to do with his philosophy on games. It's actually relatively similar to the stuff that Docseuss (a member on Neogaf) talks about, except Docseuss doesn't seem to like Levine all that much (though he apparently adores System Shock 2).
