it almost overheats but each stage finishes just before it explodes.
SneakyStephan said:So as soon as he stops climbing I can escape and exit?
Doesn't it. Trying it out now.Dilly said:My goodness, this looks awesome.
so good :lolThoseDeafMutes said:Kerbal Space Program |OT| It's not exactly rocket science.

Takes almost 40 seconds now to lose 1m/s of speed.
Takes me 55 seconds. You'll overtake me any hour now. :/

holy shit dude, you have to post a pic of the rocket.
i've beaten space and now im trying to max out G's. still cant pass the 40G mark.
I've never used that feature and I'm about to be 15 000 kilometers from the Earth.Dilly said:Too bad you have to hold F or the ship starts spinning.

Put it in a roll once it's in space and stable, it'll go on it's own forever.Dilly said:Too bad you have to hold F or the ship starts spinning.

I give up waiting, will cancel the flight and upload a screenshot of the rocket and log.
What does your rocket design look like?
ColeTheMole said:My first real attempt to reach 100k km limit with thrust.
Still some stablility issues with my poorly designed liftoff engines but i probably manage to extend liquid fuel capacity with space phase engines in the future nonetheless.
Didnt bother with the the extra stuff yet.

You're going for 100 000 kilometers? Good luck!
You're going twice the speed of mine then! What's your speed at that distance? I'm hitting 20 000 KM right now, and the rocket's still going at 1260 m/s.Dilly said:4800K at 30 minutes.
I thought about checking the other side of the planet but not really sure how lol.Scotch said:This game is fucking awesome!
Running in two windows now. In the first I am at 10,000 km @ 2650 m/s. Think I'll just keep it running all day to see what happens lol.
In the other window I am sorta in orbit around the planet , trying to see what the night time side looks like.
SneakyStephan said:Pf the extra parts in the link on the first page make things much easier.
Got to 11000 metres and 240 m/s before I had to fire my first liquid tank, and with the new set up I can take 5 tanks instead of 4.
3500 m/s at 400km now.
The physics are off though<,< same top stages of my rocket as with the old one only this one won't stabilise itself with the auto pilot thing, at all. (once everything else is jettisoned and it's identical)
Yeah, that would be a bit far though. I've had my session running for five hours now and I'm 25 500 KM into space. The moon is never closer than 362 570 KM. Now imagine going to Mars.DrM said:ok, my new best with 1000 km+. SAS really makes it easy, but it is useless if you want to do orbiting around the planet
They should include landing on moon and distant planets in full version. A lot of potential here.
With time lapse option that would be no problem.Rapstah said:Yeah, that would be a bit far though. I've had my session running for five hours now and I'm 25 500 KM into space. The moon is never closer than 362 570 KM. Now imagine going to Mars.
About Kerbal Space Program
Kerbal Space Program is a multi-genre game where the player can create his own space program.
In KSP, you must build a space-worthy craft, capable of flying it's crew out into space, without killing them.At your disposal is a collection of parts, which must be assembled to create a functional ship. Each part has it's own function and will affect the way a ship flies (or doesn't).So strap yourself in, and get ready to try some Rocket Science!
Main Features:
The Vehicle Assembly Building. allows players to build spacecraft out of any imaginable combination of parts.
Fully-fledged, Physics-based Flight Simulation ensures everything will fly (and crash) as it should.
Procedural Terrain delivers detailed terrain at a vast scale. The Kerbal Planet is 600km in radius!
Mod-enabled, allows players to create new content and modify the game.
Ship systems. Keep an eye out for engine temperatures and fuel levels, and try not to explode.
Build ships with multiple stages, and jettison parts away as they burn out.
Full control over the staging sequence allows for complex ships and advanced functionality.
Planned Features:
Take on Missions to attract interest in your Space Program. Or use the Mission Planner to create your own missions.
Manage your Space Program. Hire astronauts, train them, research and improve parts.
Fly out to Moons and other Planets
Build Space Stations, and surface bases on other worlds.
And a whole lot more!
KSP is still under development, so many things are not yet as they should be. We are working hard to be constantly improving the game however, and it will be regularly updated with bug fixes and new content, so make sure to check back for new versions. We are also always listening to feedback from the players, and we welcome ideas and suggestions.
Currently the game is being built as an open sandbox. There are no objectives yet. You're free to build anything you can think of, and fly it wherever you want, even into orbit.
The first versions are free to download and play, and will remain so forever. After the game reaches a certain state of development, it will be available for purchase at a discounted price, which will gradually increase up to it's final retail price as the game nears completion. So by ordering early, you get the game for a lot less, and you'll get all future updates for free.
Have Fun!
