Kevin Durant Signs With Golden State Warriors

The best part of this is Lebron is no longer the bad guy. People who previously disliked him might even root for him to stop this shit.

Ha, the enemy of my enemy is my friend.

What legacy tarnishing move by many.

Today Durant celebrates his independence day. Goddamn. Hopefully the Warriors get Mike Brown to help balance things out a bit, no way Kerr lasts another season

It is a bitch move but let's not rewrite history about the decision.

Lebron cleansed his soul and become a legend by what he did last year, but it was lame as fuck when he went to Miami.

Dont worry, Durant will come back to DC and win it for the Bullets

I hope your not serious with that. You can still play as a team and be considered the "villians" of the league. That teamplay doesn't change anything.
It's not just team play, I also mentioned the lack of selfishness. That's the key. Nobody on that team is selfish. It's incredible to have every person on the same page like that...only the pre-Aldridge Spurs can say the same

There is no way they will "get it together" in year 1 tho

Im expecting this to play out like Miami's first year where dudes didn't fully know their positions and realize less touches and shots were going to happen for people.

Miami was a brand new team from scratch basically.

GSW is already a 73-9 team that reached the Finals..

Looking back I guess a lot of people feel stupid for calling Lebron a ring chaser, this right here is the real definition of ring chasing and showing your true colors.

Not surprised at all

Dude has always been straight bitch-made at heart

I still remember when he was insisting that his nickname be "the servant"

Fuck that, dude should forever be known as "the cuck" going forward

Dude wants a ring. It's going to be interesting to see how this team fills out the roster. Alot of warriors success came from their chemistry and pace of play.
KD is gonna slow the roster down but still, that is a hell of a starting line up.

I remember big players in the 80s and 90s tried to beat each other to win a ring and now this new gen of player just sign up with big teams that already stacked for bigger chances of winning, crappy. Does no favors for the league at all.

So 2 year deal with a player option after the 1st. I can see him playing next year, winning the championship and then going elsewhere.

Man fuck this, like someone said it'd br like MJ joining the Pistons after they whopped him or LeBron going to the Celtics after they beat him. Shit ain't right.

My Hot Take: the KD signing is a Nike branding move to get significant market share over Under Armour in The Bay.

You're gonna see fans up there rocking tons of blue/gold Nike KD gear instead of UA SC30 gear in a few months.

They will lose to Cleveland in the finals again. Save it so you can quote me a year from now. :)

Quoting this because it's exactly what I told my cousin a few minutes ago. LeBron is the hero we need and deserve.

If OKC is in playoffs, that will be an awesome match up next year.

It's always crazy when a player leaves, how they get treated afterwards. I am guessing he will get boo'd

lol, this is straight bullshit.

LeBron/Wade/Bosh in 2010 was exactly the same form of ring chasing. They thought they were gonna have an old Celtics type dynasty, and so did most NBA fans. This Warriors thing is the same situation, maybe less so since Miami proved that super teams don't guarantee dynasties.

They were up 3-1 on the warriors in the western finals, now another good team is diminished. I barely watched the regular season this year and the eastern conference playoffs were trash, from a competitive standpoint this is disappointing.

For a guy so thin-skinned with the media it's going to be HILARIOUS watching him slowly implode inside from the hate that's going to be raining 24/7

Do you think Nike said here, take 50 million dollars with you sign with GS?

Only thing close I can think of is when Lakers lost to Pistons...or Heat lost to Mavs.

Could happen, but I wouldn't bet on the field in this case.

So it's gonna be this?

1-Curry
2-Thompson
3-Durant
4-Green
5-Bogut

Their death lineup (small ball)

1-Curry
2-Thompson
3-Durant
4-Iggy
5-Green?

🤔

Lol it's not just in the bay , I've seen kids wear Steph shoes here in Boston and New York when I went on a weekend trip

Nike is lucky warriors lost in the finals
Under armour would have destroyed Nike for the next 5 years

Never forget.

I hope he gets just as much shit for this as LeBron did

He should, and more. This is worse. I personally don't fault Lebron for leaving Cleveland, beyond how he went about it. At the least Lebron didn't up and go to Boston after they beat him in 2010( or to go back further, in 2008). Durant is literally joining the team he just lost to, a ready-made championship caliber team, to stack the deck. No-one is gonna give two shits about the titles he wins now.

I agree. LeBron fans just need to admit he started this.

Well that's one way to get a championship, didn't see this coming but I guess I can understand why KD did it.
