I adore that movie. I just got way more interested in this game.

Goddamn it, I really wish I enjoyed the underlying gameplay of these games. I love how they've rendered the Disney stuff and I would love to play a game that has those characters and worlds in it.duckroll said:Cinderella, Snow White, Sleeping Beauty,
Yeah, I thought it was alright and controlled well, and of course quite strategic - I've just never been particularly happy with having to collect "attack" cards. Fine with a card battle system for all the rest of the commands. I'm hoping this isn't a clone of that, though.duckroll said:Have you played Re:CoM?
Whaaat? CoM didn't have the best soundtrack, but it easily has the best story of the games. There's actual intrigue among the villains in it rather than pure, silly, Manichaean evil.Pureauthor said:CoM had the best battle system out of the three KH games.
(Of course, it had a worse everything else.)

Does that include spells ? Because that would be incredibly annoying if you had to constantly shuffle your hand when you're in dire need of a Cure or something and you have no items.duckroll said:No one said anything about cards! The combat in BbS is like the combat in KH and KH2. The difference is that the special attacks are "equipped" in a deck instead of in ability slots. So the attacks you have available on your menu are sorta like a hand, and is based on a shuffle of the deck I think. These are all non-normal attacks, so it's more about balancing what sort of super combos you can pull off rather than limiting you from attacking or using items.
Interesting. I suspect there'll be algorithms in place that make you more likely to get healing cards when you need them/more powerful attack cards when you're really hurting. That sounds like it could be quite fun if implemented well (which it almost certainly will be).duckroll said:No one said anything about cards! The combat in BbS is like the combat in KH and KH2. I was hoping they'd use it to have a Pixar only game. The PSP demographic is a little older, and more male heavy than the PS2. It seems that Pixar would be more attractive to the majority of PSP owners.Scribble said:It would have been a good opportunity for the portable KH series to use more of the Disney TV shows.
Fimbulvetr said:Wait. Lilo and Stitch was confirmed? Why did I not know this?
Looks like they'll be concentrating more on the princesses of heart this time. Wonderland, Beast's Castle, and Agrabah probably won't show up since they've already been used twice in the series.

This is great news
Finally feels like the big SE stuff is starting to make an appearance
They've managed to cram in Agrahah into every single game in the series. I'm sure it'll be back. Again.Fimbulvetr said:Wait. Lilo and Stitch was confirmed? Why did I not know this?

The only good thing that came from the battle system were some of the attacks. The tornado and black hole one were the best.Pureauthor said:CoM had the best battle system out of the three KH games.

Japan loves Stitch.GhaleonQ said:So, does Japan really love Lilo And Stitch? Is it a Hawaii-Japan thing? Do they think the director's a creative martyr for going down with American Dog?
It keeps popping up in Kingdom Hearts, which is peculiar, I think.

Well, thanks to the Japan-only show, most of them know Stitch is a selfish spaceship gunfighter with aspirations of being the Conan-like ruler of a planet and having she-Stitches draped around his feet.duckroll said:I guess that's why they picked Deep Space! To educate the masses! :lol

duckroll said:Next week's Jump finally has a new preview on KH:BbS. It's still due "this Winter" so I suppose if it misses Dec, it'll be early 2010. They show two of the new worlds in BbS - one is the previously shown Cinderella world, while the other is a brand new Deep Space world from Lilo and Stitch. The game also features a "Deck Command System" where your skills are arranged and customized like a deck and activated sequentially on the command list.

EDIT: Oh man I hope this stays close to the version I love. Didn't know about the Japan-only show. =/
It would make a good music level.Aaron Strife said:I'm really excited about this game, which is unusual given I have no intention to purchase the system required to play it.ps2 port plz

Man leave out the gargoyles and big ups on that from me. I can't think of what besides it (and yes, Pixar) would fit well for new games.

Oh my God this is a great idea. Just how popular is Hannah Montana in Japan? I'd love to see her in a Kingdom Hearts game.Scribble said:It would have been a good opportunity for the portable KH series to use more of the Disney TV shows.
