Killer7 is today's featured article on Wikipedia

Is Killer 7 "better" than No More Heroes?

(enjoyed both a great deal, just seeing what the "hardcore" opinion is.)

No More Heroes combat is more fun (despite being shallow and repetitive) but that's about it in my opinion. Killer7 is the more polished game that has better graphics, controls, camera, level design, music, story, and characters.

I remember I was so hyped up for this back when it was announced and the info looked great, but I just never picked it up.

Took me two summers to beat this game, but it will forever be ingrained in my memory as an awesomely bizarre experience. It made me appreciate games for a lot more than just its gameplay. I wish Suda51 would go back to something like this again, which reminds me I should go pick up a copy of Flower, Sun, and Rain.

It's really not a very good game, but I can see why it has it's crazed devoted fans.

It's a very unique experience but not something I would really play ever again.

Though I will say I never finished it, the gameplay was too frustrating.

I've yet to beat this game, I've started it a few times and gotten bored, but it certainly is a unique experience. We need more people like Suda in the industry.

One of my favorites. Played it over and over again, beat Killer8 and unlocked Hopper7 to mess around in. Seeing it first being shown off at the trade shows are still burned into my memory as part of that whole Capcom gamecube initiative. I still remember walking to the local gamestop to pick it up with a friend who also got one, taking it back to his house and only wanting to get home to play it myself more and more. Sure the combat was unconventional but after a little bit of time it just clicked and now I can glide through with ease. And the story, the music? All twisted but cool.

Having an official HD re-release would be fantastic, but as it is I guess I will have to pull my copy off the shelf and try to see how well it will be dolphined on this machine.

His best game. I hope his new game is more like Killer7 and less stupid teen humor like SOTD, Lollipop or NMH (Although I liked NMH1)

Killer7 is still Suda's best game, as much as I love No More Heroes and Flower, Sun and Rain

been toying with the idea of replaying it recently. It's gonna happen soon, it needs to

Played it last year for the first time and completely fell in love with it.
Everything about this game was great. I kept wondering while playing how the hell such
thing got published. It is so weird in many ways.

Killer 7 had a psychological, metaphysical, spiritual and political narrative that drips with more symbolism than just about any other game I can recall.

It might also just have been batshit insane. I honestly don't know. I get the feeling that these kind of stories are never half as clever as they seem. It's more of a kaleidoscope of events. Like looking at something coherent through a broken mirror.

Still love it though. My first and only truly surrealist gaming experience.

"We're talking about guys who beat off four times a day."

I still have my Gamecube copy. It was definitely the weirdest game to come out of the Capcom 5 games and one of the quirkiest games I've ever played. I mean in what other game do you shoot a guy in the head so he could give you a hint and greets you with dual flipped birds? Also Travis was hilarious ("He's gonna go ape shit").

The ending scared the hell out of my teenage self thus vowing never to play it again as a result. At least it introduced the world to Masafumi Takada; I love the Vinculum Gate BGM. He's extremely underrated and one of my favorite Japanese video game composers.

I definitely loved the fight against the Handsome Men; it was my favorite chapter in the game even though it didn't make a lick of sense in terms of the overall narrative. Although as a Dominican, I was terribly disappointed to hear a pseudo-Mexican song playing in the level but I was happy that the Dominican Republic was featured in the game. One the weirdest and most memorable boss fights was in Encounter versus Curtis Blackburn; the ending cut scene was extremely weird and creepy when I played it at the time.

Dan was easily my favorite character of the bunch because of his bad ass running animation and overall bad ass personality. It's not too often that one sees a video game character running around with a magnum behind his back like a sword. In retrospect, I think he was modeled after Dirty Harry.

I rarely if ever, used Kadey or Kevin unless one of the other Smiths died or it was mandatory for a section of a mission.

It's not anyone from Killer7. The assassin in NMH is bald and has no facial hair and his voice is also different.

It's a reference to
Garcian.

The special abilities you can get throughout the game are references to Killer7. Memory of Three, Memory of Demon, Memory of Child, Memory of Woman, etc. Also:

Look at his name. If that's not an homage, I don't know what is.

I never finished it, but it's a great game. I love the weirdness and even the clunky gameplay (still, a Wii remake would probably make it even better IMO)

This is too easy.

Hurts, doesn't it

Phew, you are fucked

man, i still haven't played this game. where's my digital re-release?

Yes, but it's just a reference. People actually thought the character was Garcian or "that" other guy.
