Killing Floor: Red Orchestra devs bringing 6-player online co-op to Steam1

Wow, this looks like great fun.

Yeah, only thing is that I'm a tad disappointed that it just uses the crappy standard UT2003/4 menus for buying guns, otherwise looks like a blast, especially for $15

Hmm, tempted to buy, but it just feels a little amateur, then again Red Orchestra is a fantastic game. The UI needs some work for sure, I do like how the knife makes you run faster, and can you imagine voice spamming (ala L4D) with dodgy British accents :lol

If there is enough interest, as I don't think anyone else I know is getting the game, I may rent a server. Should be pretty cheap as it's only six slots, however it would be in the UK so the ping might not be so great to anyone outside of Europe. However unless Tripwire has got servers up and running in advance, it's going to be mainly people creating client side servers.

Well after seeing this thread and game for the first time yesterday iv convinced 2 mates to buy the game with me, i hope its good :D

i'm tryin to heal you, not bloody tickle you!

those IGN videos of the Lab level show off some sweet atmosphere. i really like the gun variety too.

I've pre-ordered, pre-loaded this one and can't wait to dive in. The game looks very cool despite what some people I talk to say! Am I reading this right, the game is unlocked at 1pm EST May 14th? Seems like a strange time to unlock it...

Valve sometimes unlocks games around the middle of the day, PST.

Ahh ok, makes sense then...Though the timer has been resting on "1 hour" for 2 hours, hehe. Wonder when exactly this will open up!

Bah! I always find it amusing that if a game is Digital Download, everyone is ticked off when its a couple hours late, but we're normally willing to go buy it later in the day if it's a physical disc..

Yeah, people are going crazy on there :lol I hope it's within the next few hours though, kind of wanted to play it before going to bed.

I was just reading through the posts, and whereas I have a case of mild disappointment, some of these people seem to be going downright nuts!

Seriously bro. People on the forums feel that the employees of Valve are their slaves and should do what they want how they want when they want. They are raving lunatics or just pure teenagers who don't have anything better to do.

They don't learn either, because it's pretty much like this for every game released on steam. You can always add a couple of hours to the original countdown. Hell, often it's best to just try a day later.

Not surprised by this at all, I think they released the server files yesterday and then only the Windows ones, so even if the game launches tonight there won't be enough servers to fill the need.

All those hours I spent playing Counter Strike with zombie mods... I dreamed about games like Left 4 Dead and Killing floor (the only thing that is missing now is a RE:Outbreak type PC game).

This is typical steam though. Every game I have gotten is always late.
