As I mentioned in the Dubstep topic, I'm no big fan of Burial (I pretty much only like Archangel), but this new EP is really, really, really good.

Kindred: 8/10
Loner: 9/10
Ashtray Wasp: 5/10

To me, that song alone is the epitome of Burial. It's like an epilogue to Untrue -- almost a medley for its various aspects. All simply gorgeousness.

It's so simultaneously subtle and intense that I cannot get enough. In its last minute I feel like there's another movement incoming, but sadly the song ends. :'(

The downpour he brews makes me want to declare it as a subgenre called Storm.
Because I'm crazy and it's almost like Jungle where the tunes start sounding like birds and snakes in a forest. It would just be fun if it were so, I think. :P

I think it's great. coupled with the paradise circus release I would froth pretty hard at a new LP being announced.

Sweet. Really appreciating the amount of new material he's been putting out the last few months.

god I love this guys music sooo much.

Ashtray Wasp is one of Burial's greatest tracks and certainly the best track of 2012 so far. This guy is so talented it hurts!

Wonderful. I'm very impressed both by his consistent quality and ability to continue to innovate beyond Burial and Untrue.

Nova is decidedly a bit more repetitive and less forward thinking than his most recent release, but it's not a bad track nonetheless.

Now the Kindred Ep...

Really liking Nova. Burial & Four Tet mix so well. Moth is still one of my fav tracks (if not my favorite) that either of them has done

I hope he's building up to an album release, come on Kode9 release that shit.

I completely understand why people want one but I honestly don't care if he ever releases another proper album if we keep getting fantastic releases like Kindred which is still 30 minutes in length. I think the Pitchfork review put it nicely with something like "...format seems irrelevant here." Hell I wasn't even prepared for him to ever release something that would rank right up there with his very best old stuff again just because of the pressure and expectations people have of him.

Yep. I finally spun Untrue for the first time in awhile after listening to Kindred a bunch and the growth and innovation within his own sound is really incredible.

Can't wait to get the 12" in the mail next week!!!

After some rumination, I've decided this is my favorite album of the last 15 months (i.e. since the beginning of 2011). Wanted to see if anyone else felt similarly.

'Ashtray Wasp' is another level. My favorite track of the three. Great flow, dynamic, whatever. Wish I found this last Summer.
