Kinect price drop to $109.99 (USA)

I'll pay, maximum, $60 for the Kinect + a game I actually want. Still waiting on the game. Perhaps Steel Batallion even with it's lackluster impressions/reviews.

Don't bother. The actual ideas were great but implementation was poor. Dance Central and the voice recognition for media apps and the dashboard are really the best reasons to have a kinect. I only paid $99 and don't regret it as much as my PS Move purchase.

Is it just me or does it feel like this generation of hardware is taking forever to drop in price? The software side of things isn't bad but how is a 7 year old xbox 360 still 200$? Should be no more than 129.99$ for a 4 gig Xbox 360 not 200$. Also the Kinect is way too expensive even at 110$ Should've launched at 99.99$ and be about 60$ now.
Just $200 for the console? If I told you that in Argentina the least you can get it for is $500...

What you said, the upcoming kinect voice support for multiple games (mostly 3rd party), and Twisted Pixel's Gunstringer are the main reasons to get one.

IMO, the price is okay... not the best but not ridiculously expensive especially compared to the $80+ Rock Band/Guitar Hero Accessories that could only be used for one thing/type of game.

I get the sense Kinect is headed to the same dusty closet/garage/attic as all those plastic instruments and balance boards, unless the games become a lot more creative. It's not as if Kinect has been very well utilized beyond dance and fitness.

With the holiday season coming up this is practically a price raise. iirc last year kinect was bundled with 2 digital games for 100 dollars and lasted throughout most of the holidays here in the US

I always use to laugh at people when they said 'Wii's are in people's closets' or whatever. I never thought people actually put their gaming bits away but low and behold my Kinect has been under my bed for 8 months now.

I still use it for media controls so it's still getting a good amount of use from me.

Gunstringer was fun.

Looking forward to using it in the upcoming sports games.

At this point it's probably being used as a navigation device by most people. More gaming applications will have to wait for the next version, probably launching next year alongside Xbox 3.
