It's a sign.

Pastor Junie: "The complacency of fools will destroy them! ... Proverbs!"
Hank: "Get out of my house! ...Exodus!"

Jumpin Crack Bass is another classic episode

Some other favorites of mine from season 10 onwards are

Church Hopping
Hanks on Board
A Portrait of the Artist as a Young Clown <3
Bill, Bulk, and the Body Buddies
Grand theft Arlen
Cops and Roberts
Dia-BILL-ic Shock
Bwah my nose

"Livin' on Reds, Vitamin C and Propane" is a great episode!

"Hank needs to take some antique furniture to his mother in Arizona, so he rents an 18-wheeler and takes Bobby on a road trip (with Dale, Bill and Boomhauer stowing away). Meanwhile, Peggy and Luanne try to write a Christmas novelty song."

I agree. Favorite quote my wife and I spout all the time is when the Dale is at the writing desk in the back of the truck.

"And what of young Joseph?"

Good list, Hank's on Board and Bill, Bulk, and the Body Buddies are my favorites from that list. Currently watching S13 and my top 5 would look something like this:

1.What Happens at the National Propane Gas Convention in Memphis Stays at the National Propane Gas Convention in Memphis
2. Uh-oh, Canada
3. Square-Footed Monster
4. Just Another Manic Kahn-Day
5.Dia-BILL-ic Shock

Uh-oh, Canada is fantastic.

Figured you guys would find this interesting:

A "King of the Hill" animators' guide. An incredible look at the insane amount of detail that went into making a "realistic" cartoon every week (plus the hazards of working with Korean animation houses).

Really great find - all animation productions have these made. They're called the production bible, and always contain these types of show specific things (how to keep characters on model, staging, etc.).

I'm gonna start a rewatch, from the start, starting tomorrow. Two episodes a day, one episode before work and one before bed. Jump in if you like to.
I have to admit it's going to be pain to watch season one. There are some good episodes there but overall it lacks many of the nuances I love in my KotH.

It's easier to name the bad episodes than what episodes are great. Even in the later seasons.

(Trans-Fascism is the worst.)

Joseph: Look, Bobby! Butane lighters!
Bobby: My dad says butane's a bastard gas.

:bow

Fantastic show. Dale is was probably my favorite character. Peggy was insufferable. Best episode for me is probably the one where a bunch of Buddhist (?) monks think Bobby is a reincarnated lama. I remember being particularly touched by that ending.

Also, "THAT'S MY PURSE! I DON'T KNOW YOU!" is the stuff of legends.

Oh, also, the episode where John Redcorn and Nancy attempt to come clean to Dale about their cheating was a classic.

Finally, RIP Brittany Murphy.

Am I the only person that loves Peggy? She is my favorite character, possibly on any tv show. She cracks me up, and I find her endearing.

Hank - "Firm but with a little give, yep, these are medium rare."
Bobby - "What if someone wants theirs well done?"
Hank - "We ask them politely but firmly to leave."

One of my favorites as well. At first I loved to hate her but ultimately she just became one of my favorite characters.

"Would you please tell Boomhauer that Swiss cheese is not Mehican, it is American."

"...So they asked me to teach German, and I said "nein," which I thought meant yes. But it turns out, "nein" means no. So I blew a big opportunity."

I love how she proclaims known facts as her opinions. "Hank, the day after Thanksgiving is, in my opinion, the biggest shopping day of the year."

There is only one main character that I didn't like and that was Lucky. Principal Moss became tad irritating towards the end when they started to give him far too much screen time, as side character he worked perfectly well. Other vise the cast of KotH is perfect.

When I was in 5th grade, I was kicked out of my class because I was emulating the way Peggy slammed down the Boggle grid. The pieces flew everywhere. My friends and I were cracking up, but the teacher wasn't. As a result, I had to spend 10 minutes outside of the classroom and think about what I did and why it was wrong.

Peggy is a great character. She's got some of the funniest lines/episodes in the show. The Randy Travis episode is a great example of why her character is so entertaining.

I just started watching S1 recently. While I had seen random episodes over the years and had a basic familiarity with the characters, I had never sat down and watched until last month. So far the show has been amazing. Very funny and imo the typical sitcom/comedy "moral of the story" bits haven't felt forced so far.

"Hanks Cowboy Movie" is one of my favorites

When hank and bobby go into the witchata falls propane shop and gets blasted with "go sooners!" - It brings out classic hank. Although it would of been slightly better with the longhorns fight song, I see why he sang the cowboys song. It reminds me of my dad ( a Nebraska fan) and his reaction to something similar

Great episode

Bobby: Irvin's looking good this year, huh, Dad?
Hank: Yep. I'm giving him a A-.
Bobby: I'm giving him a B+. That gives him some room to improve.
Hank: Good thinking, son.
Bobby: And I'm giving Troy Aikman a B+ too.
Hank: That's not funny, Bobby.

HANK: You, uh, you're my son, you know, with everything that entails... feelings of fondness and more... You know what I mean, don’t you, boy?
BOBBY: No.
HANK: Ah. Well -- (high-pitched whinny) That's a hell of a weird sound, I never made that before... uh... I... you... family. You're not making this easy on me, boy.

CHUCK MANGIONE: Ever since the explosion, every song I play sounds like "Feels So Good."
INSTRUCTOR: Maybe that's because it does "feel so good" to be alive.
CHUCK MANGIONE: No, that's not it.

Edit: And now "They Call It Bobby Love"
