I was driving with my Uncle and his family a few months ago and they put in a Chuck Mangione CD and that song came up, I almost lost it.
He is the only man I respect whose head has touched a fedora.
When the fuck is a bluray collection coming out? There has to be something higher quality than netflix for this show.
I'd kill for the rest of the show on DVD at this point. I hate that Fox didn't put out the last 7 seasons.
anyone know why FOX hated the show?
One of the voice actors was on the radio and he was talking about how it was consistently one of the highest rated shows for FOX animation domination but they never promoted the show like they did the others.

Still bothers me. Half of the time the first 15 or 20 minutes of a brand new episode would be missed anyway due to NFL coverage running long.

One of my favorite episodes was on the other night.. "Bill of Sales".. Probably the best Peggy episode, as her relationship with Bill(one of the funniest relations in the show) is explored thoroughly. My favorite part is when she approaches Bill towards the end and starts slinging forced insults at him.
"Oh yeah? Well I wouldn't waste all that water on your lawn -- "
*cut to an angry Bill*
"-- you're gonna need it to hose yourself down uh later.. because... You stink!"
"I... huh??"

Although I still don't think I quite understand why Bill was so repulsed at being praised. Was it because he has been abused all of his life and didn't know how to handle actual compliments and encouragement?
Especially from Peggy. He's had her on a weird pedestal forever and when she started praising him he a) didn't know how to handle it and b)temporarily stopped seeing Peggy as someone to look up to/fantasize over.
Another great Bill/Peggy episode is the one where Hank is away and Bill starts stalking the Hill family in his absence, though I totally forget which one that is... It's pretty hilarious when Bill offers to take out their trash but ends up just taking it home with him.

I love this show and how real each character feels. Later season screeching Bobby was annoying at times, but the rest of the seasons more than make up for it. "I dont know you, thats my purse" "Am I going to kick you in the testicles? Yes".
Peggy took several seasons for me to warm up to her, but her character clicked with me after watching the episode when she accidentally kidnapped the mexican girl. She claim to speak perfect spanish, when she was really clueless. She was found innocent, but thought she was going to jail due to not knowing spanish. She has average intelligence, but thinks she is a genius. It is comical watching her make a fool of herself due to lack of knowledge.

I thought they didn't release the rest of the seasons on DVD because of poor sales. Compared to other animated shows on FOX, King of the Hill didn't seem to be that marketable. I never see a lot of King of the Hill merch in the stores. Maybe that's why FOX never cared for it. Couldn't see them cut the first 10/20 mins off a new Simpsons or Family Guy episode because of football.
