Never thought this time would ever come (not like I wanted it), but the cringiest reality show is back! Behold, there's a new batch of 11 persons that will do everything possible to dishonor the "nerd" nickname and make thousands of people laugh at them and us! With a new house, new rules (not really) and the same two hosts (the only good thing of the show, honestly), it's nerd on!

I just rewatched Season 1 over the last few days. Kinda interested in seeing this again.

Maybe they can somehow make up for Celeste winning. Genevieve was probably an evil person but she actually did stuff. Hopefully less inane challenges will balance out the banishing order.

I love how by appearance alone you can pretty much tell who's the "I'm just playing this up for the show" nerd and who's the "I act like this in real life and I'm proud of it" nerd.
 
Will watch season 2. I enjoyed watching the first season,

I absolutely hated some of the people from season 1, it looks like there will be a few I hate in this season as well. The "drama" toward the end of season 1 was getting pretty unbearable though.

How the hell has Kayla not found a job? Sounds like she has a solid head on her shoulders and has the qualifications for finding one.
 
I'd love to be on this show, but I'm probably not "nerdy" enough and too old.

I haven't finished all of the cast videos, but so far I'm digging Kayla and Nicole.

It really isn't about nerdiness. Most of the challenges are physical and have little to do with knowledge. Nerdiness is just used as a gimmick, nothing more...
 
Kelsey looks to be the least nerdy of them all (at least in appearance)...

I enjoyed Season 1, so I'll probably check this out too.

That's why I don't think I'd make it. =(

I'm currently taking college courses for a criminal justice degree (not nerdy) I don't think I'd be nerdy enough for their gimmick.

-I've been playing video games since the age of 3 (I'm 30)
-Grew up playing with action figures over barbie
-Have been reading comics since I was about 8
-I'm a big movie buff
-etc, etc, etc.

I wonder if most of those kids know who Skolnick and Booger are.

Before descending into our annual swamp of eggnog and mince pie, we would like to address an issue regarding the season finale episode of the upcoming Season 2 of King of the Nerds.

Now we know what you're thinking: "The Season Finale?! We haven't seen the Premiere episode yet!!"

Stay with us. All will become clear.

People are always asking us -- well, someone did the other day -- "What do you guys have planned for the season finale this time? I mean, don't get us wrong. We loved the show, the nerds were great, the challenges were awesome and the two of you in particular have never looked more youthful and sophisticated. But, truth be told, we didn't care for the ending so much. I mean, after weeks of bracing, inspiring, highly intellectual -- not to mention funny and heartwarming -- nerd challenges, the winner wound up being decided by a POPULARITY CONTEST? What was that all about?"

(We should mention that some of your comments were phrased a little differently, but you get the idea.)

Much as we would love to let the dead past bury its dead, we feel compelled to respond to our fans and, we like to think, to our future fans. The reasons for ending the show the way we did last season were highly complex and terribly technical. King Celeste has ruled with wisdom and benevolence, and her people are happy people. But, really, what were nerds doing in a popularity contest at all? Historically, nerds never win popularity contests. It's just not in our skill-set.

Well, you, our beloved fans, spoke. And when the dust settled, we found ourselves sitting there in the ruins of the old Nerdvana swearing we would never end the show like that again.

So this year it's going to be different. Really different. We cannot go into details, but the challenge we have devised to determine who will be King of the Nerds is imaginative, intricate, complex and generally brain-breaking. In other words, it is a challenge chock full of good, old-fashioned Nerd values. And you can't ask for more than that. (Well, you can ask for more than that, but that's what you're getting.)

Believe us, you will NOT be disappointed!

Nice to know they're aware of the disappointment from the last season finale.

I think the most enjoyable thing is watching Dan Curtis Armstrong really get into it.
 
I'll be watching because I actually know Josh W (JWittz). He was voted on as the fan favorite and is a really nice guy.
 
I admittedly tried out for season 1. They had me go as far as making a video for them, but I wasn't chosen. I watched the first episode to make sure my video wasn't on there for anything...and I realized how much of a jock I would've felt on that show.

They tried to get me to do season 2. I deleted the email with no hesitation.
 
Mindless fun, that is why I watch. And its easy to tell who is going to go home and who is going to win this whole thing. I think I already know who it is on the first episode. :P
 
Seeing the premiere the other night, I remember why I tuned in last season. It's a really fun "drama" reality show that's completely tongue in cheek and silly especially compared to the recently premiered Opposite Worlds on SyFy , despite an interesting concept, felt very cheesy and scripted.

Just love seeing Curtis Armstrong, he makes for a great host.
 
When Kelsey said that she chose Nicole to be eliminated while choosing teams, because no one would notice she was gone was ice cold.

I know its called King of the Nerds, but man they say the world "nerd" three times a minute.
"The nerd challenges is for the nerdiest nerd of all the nerds gathered here in Nerdvana, this is a challenge between nerds and nerds that will result in one nerd going home."
 
Not gonna lie, I watched it and didn't hate it too much. I'd be lying if I said I'm not rooting for Chris because he's a black mech. engineer too, though

Can anyone verify Zack's claim as being one of the top 25 WoW players?

I like the Hobbit guy so far. Holy Crap that chest hair.

I like this show because the people are real. Much more so than on shows like the Tester.
These are reallll nerds. Almost too real.

I get the feeling the girls are a little weaker this season. But still too early to call.
 
Just watched the second episode, the asian guy is great haha but the rest of the cast is a little meh...

The pokemon guy was wearing a Spelunk shirt so he's good on my books, the puppeteer girl is kinda hot and the Blizzard cap girl is weird as fuck.
 
Zack just keeps trucking on. I'm still convinced he's a sociopath, despite his monologue (actually, that just convinced me even more) and honestly, if his portrayal on this show is even close to reality, I would be scared to share a house with him. Sorry to see Mary-Kate go. I liked her. And the purple-haired girl was hot in that outfit.

I agree with all points. I was sad to see Mary-Kate go, she seemed to be one of the few genuinely nice people on the show.

I hope Zack stays in for a few more episodes, for as much of an asshole/psychotic he is, he is pretty entertaining.

My god, he really is a sociopath! He alone makes this show cringe worthy enough where if someone walked in on me watching the show I would turn off the TV and yell "NOTHING!" where it would look like I was masturbating. Only masturbating wouldn't have been as awkward.

I felt bad that Mary Kate was booted this week and she seemed like a great person.
 
OMG Zack. This dude is nuts, like literally crazy.

Purple hair chick is cute though. It seems the weird colored hair girls are the cute ones, kinda like the one with pink hair last season.
 
I think my favorite nerds are purple hair and the gay dude.

It was neat seeing some of the Season 1 people as the zombies.
