I think this warrants a thread on it's own: Does Square Enix have the balls to include Lightning in Kingdom Hearts III? Or are they smarter than that?
I'm 99,9999% sure neither Marvel or Star Wars will happen in Kingdom Hearts III or any time soon. Even if Disney owns them, they are still kind of their own thing, from what I've understood. The story is still (possibly) too tied to the Disney side of things for KHIII. Maybe the future storylines will wander in some other direction where Star Wars or Marvel tie-ins make more sense, but even then I'm not sure if Disney will want to mix KH & Star Wars and/or Marvel. Pixar is something that Nomura HAS talked about wanting to do and that I could perhaps see happening in KHIII already. But yeah, even if Disney bought Star Wars & Marvel, I'm not sure if they are willing to have THAT meta of a KH yet.
Personally, I do want them to repeat one franchise and that's Fantasia from Dream Drop Distance. It already looked so nice even on dated hardware like 3DS, so I can't even imagine what kind of wonders they would be able to produce on PS4 level hardware. Minds would be blown.

I think Toy Story is a foregone conclusion. It'd be too easy to do. Outside of that, I dunno what other world they can do. Maybe Monsters Inc?
Im beginning to think the Organization plotline was created due to story and plot restrictions of all the different Disney IPs

IIRC the Princesses of Heart were implied to have some kind of part in Xehanort's future plans in DDD's final hours, so I'd imagine that they'll have some story significance and will probably get at least 2-3 worlds in Kingdom Hearts III too, though they could also gather them around in a single world like they were into Hollow Bastion in KH1).
She's in enough Final Fantasy games as is. Isn't she already in Re-Coded, FFXIV, and as a costume in Third Birthday? She needs a break.

Definitely need Lilo & Stitch Hawaii world and Emperor's New Groove. That's all I need, really.
Robin Hood and Tangled would be nice as well, though.

I'm pretty sure that kind of mash-up is not allowed for Disney franchises. It's a wonder that KH with tons of different separate Disney world exists at all, let alone that they'd allow that kind of careless mixing of franchises. Some cross-franchise character interaction seems to be okay (i.e. villains cooperating in KH1, Princesses of Heart being present in Hollow Bastion) but anything bigger than that is probably a no-go.

I...would rather not. I'd like the original worlds, but maybe a new storyline that's fairly similar to the original movie/concept just not the same.

She's had 3 FF games. I'd be surprised if she DOESNT appear in KH3.

So here are some ideas I've had:
The Sword in the Stone with Gilgamesh teaming up with Mim. I mean a Disney movie about the Excalibur with a goofy villain, and a goofy Final Fantasy villain obsessed with the Excalibur. How hasn't this happened yet?
Doesn't have to be On Stranger Tides, but a Pirates of the Caribbean level with Faris Scherwiz. Y'all know you want this.
So we already had a Colosseum, and now we can have an Opera House themed world based around Fantasia 2000 and also Final Fantasy 6. Kefka and Ultros are out to upset the Opera while Terra struggles with inner darkness and whether to help Kefka or try and save Celes and help Locke.
How is it that Cecil, Kain and Golbez aren't in KH yet? I mean three FF dudes with bromance and angst about light vs. dark and a fight over a girl all going on in the middle. These guys fit perfectly in KH and should just be in there.

Gilgamesh & the rest aren't Nomura's characters and he's kind of iffy about having characters other than the one's he's been involved in creating appear in KH games (he had Vivi & Setzer in KHII, but even that was hard for him, lol, and they had very minor roles). That's why he'd rather go with TWEWY for DDD than delve deeper into FFs history.
Just saw this today for the first time....amazing world building and characters...incredible setting....but man it felt like nothing happened....there is very little plot...first 10 min and last 10 min is great though

That's one of Disney's biggest properties, and if Radiator Springs got it's own land in their theme park, I'm sure it'll get it's own world in Kingdom Hearts 3.

I really don't think Cars fits KH's style at all, in any way, shape or form. I doubt we'll ever see a Cars world. Pixar has franchises that are much better suited for KH yet even those have not been used yet. Cars is bottom of the pile as far as Pixar franchises in KH (and in general...) go. Finding Nemo? Sure. Toy Story? Sure (we already have Pinocchio as a puppet come alive). Incredibles? Sure (would be funny to see Sora, Donald & Goofy in Incredibles outfits). Cars? I just can't see it at all (even after some didn't-see-that-coming worlds like Tron & PotC).

They did the same thing with KH2 and the spin-offs.
It's going to definitely be something current like Frozen or whatever. Going to go back to places we've been to...Agrabah.......again. I don't think we will go to Beast's castle again since that concluded in KH2.

There are still plenty of Disney franchises that they haven't gotten the chance to use + Nomura has talked about Pixar in the same way for years + Disney's inane ways of handling different franchises (especially when it's Disney's "own" vs. their Pixar-side vs. Star Wars) -> don't expect to see Star Wars in Kingdom Hearts within the next 10+ years. I mean, really, they've owned Pixar for how long now and Nomura still hasn't been allowed to use Pixar IPs in KH. As far as Pixar & Star Wars in KH goes, I'd almost advice to think about it like Pixar & Star Wars (& Marvel) were still separate entities from Disney.

I think the difference is that in many ways Star Wars is perfect from a gameplay perspective for a series like Kingdom Hearts. That alone would give them leverage over any Pixar IP creative. Then you consider just how massive Star Wars is globally, and it gives it another bump. That's why I figure it'd be at the front of the pack of worlds to use if Disney is okay with it.

They simply don't "fit" with the pre-existing atmosphere. We may get hints at most.
I think Steven Spielberg does. Roger Rabbit made cameo appearances in Tiny Toons.

Emperor's New Groove
Atlantis
Treasure Planet

Spielberg has 50% ownership of the Roger Rabbit character, so yes... they'd need to get his blessing if Disney and Square-Enix want to use him in some fashion in KH. I doubt they'd get it, though: link
