Maybe you should have actually linked the original source for the trailer, instead of posting what looks like a 10fps screen captured video which was uploaded to Youtube. :P

Frame rate needs serious work. Other than that it looks good.

Looks fantastic! The new Traverse Town looks pretty. S-E Osaka crazy gameplay FTW!

I wish they would announce another Disney world already though. I wonder if you can have actual characters as partners as well...

Looks really nice, but does anyone know if can I move the HUD to the bottom screen? I'd rather not take up real estate on the 3D screen.

My personal 3DS system seller but knowing that this will support that expansion pad thing will make me wait for a redesign to see if it will include the second analog.

So why does it look different?
The YouTube cloud in the sky doesn't take kindly to low frame rates, I assume. Same thing happened with the Snake Eater 3D footage. It looks like it only drops frames relative to the frame rate of what's going on in the scene, the cutscenes still play fine in the mirror. Maybe reencoding the file from Nintendo to mp4 before upping to YouTube would smooth it out, but touching the video risks some quality loss.

I don't get why people think combat looks so good? The camera seemingly doesn't even keep up with the crazy moves and things properly... I'm not big on this series but Birth by Sleep's combat seemed nicer to me, and I haven't played any game with such combat (from Zelda to DMC to DarkSiders to GoW to Sengoku Basara to whatever else tamer or crazier, it's never been hard to follow the action) that made me go "wat" but the videos of this one do... What am I missing?

The combat system is based on Birth by Sleep's systems, and evolve them further. If you watch BbS videos, you'll see a lot of the exact same things.

Using TWEWY to push a Kingdom Hearts game? .... it's a wonderful world, indeed.

Can we just skip to the TWEWY sequel instead? :x

Have faith in the BBS Team guys. They make quality games. BBS was just so great that I can't possibly imagine them doing bad with this.

There's still plenty of time for optimization.

wat? That website features the same horrible framerate during gameplay that the youtube upload does.

No, the stutters are totally gone. The youtube video has very serious conversion issues that you can see every time an attack animation is in action - it literally drops frames.

Would it actually give full camera control like KH2, or does it just substitue for L/R?

It would probably give full camera control, but it isn't really an issue since the bread and butter of combat in the KH system is lock-on. Most of the time in combat it would make no sense to even manually touch the camera.

Doesn't look any worse than BbS to me in this video, I can see the transition from the free flow grinding and swinging to an attack. Some of Sora's moves in the trailers look crazier though so I hope S-E Osaka can pull it off.

Pretty much this.

Ugh, just seeing the new fat-type enemies again gives me a headache.

3DS is a lot stronger than the PSP.

In terms of the ability to render more effects and have more stuff on screen at a time? But here's another thing to consider: The 3DS screen is actually lower resolution than the PSP screen. We're not talking about a huge resolution boost (there is none at all actually), but instead improvements on stuff like shaders and lighting. All of these look more impressive in KH3D, but the general models and level of detail would definitely remain the same.

BbS allows you to control a single player character, with no party members. KH3D allows you to control a player character and have a party of 2 AI driven pets as well. Is that not an improvement?

Does Snake Eater 3D look much better than Peace Walker? Nope.
Does MH3G look much better than MHP3rd? Nope.
Does KH3D look much better than KH BbS? Nope.

These are all big third party games coming out in the near future for the 3DS.

But only KH is ground-up for 3DS, outside asset reuse. The others are enhanced ports more or less, from Wii/PS2/PSP etc.

The other big ground-up 3rd party game we have certainly doesn't look like a PSP game... Revelations that is.

I don't think it's unreasonable to at least expect good frame rate for this kind of visual quality out of this caliber of devs...

Nintendo's own games might not look like much either, at least not using fancy pixel shaders etc, but at least they're 60 fps.

And before these we also have quick PS360 ports like SFIV, sure they have sacrifices considering the vast differences in power, but they don't look like PSP games...
