Kingdom Hearts IV announced during KH 20th anniversary!

I'll always have a soft spot for this retarded series.

Now we all just gotta hope this shit comes out in a timely manner and doesn't get strung with endless delays.

I got caught up in the KH3 hype and stopped playing it like halfway through. Not getting fooled into buying another one

Sure was a pretty looking game, though!

Awesome! Kh3 was a mixed bag, but I liked it overall, I waited for it for more than a decade after all.


I like the Versus XIII vibes and believe Nomura will do it justice
 
I didn't see any rifts or superfast ssd load times so chances are it would be possible on series consoles as well.

I think it looks good but honestly I couldn't care less about those black caped guys, for me it's all about the Diney magic as corny as that may sound.
 
I'm a big Disney fan of their older movies and I've tried twice to get into these games but for some reason I just loose all interests about an hour or 2 in each time.

JK, I just hope there's less Disney crap in it. That has slowly become the least interesting part of these games.

I had the feeling they were moving away from Disney after they end up in non-Disney worlds. I though and hoped they would use other games as worlds, making it a game of other games.
Imagine going into Final Fantasy, Dragon Quest, Nier and other worlds instead.

This trailer doesn't confirm, or deny that. As far as we know they could only keep some characters in.

That's for the best. I think these games actually cause brain damage. Any time I read a KH fan's post I can just tell that something isn't right. They lack a functioning sense of shame and seem to have no idea how normal adults interact with each other.

Looks absolutely fantastic. Loved KH3 so I'm looking forward to this like always. Definitely has Versus XIII vibes.

Xehanort Mobile game looks like good stuff too from a lore standpoint.

Was fine and look perfectly normal when i was 16 playing KH

Not sure how my cousins will react to me a 30s dude with greasy beard playing kingdom hearts with sora mickey mouse and donald duck

I love the series and I've played all KH game except the mobile one starting with KH1 on PS2 and I'm currently replaying the KH1.5-2.5-2.8 collection. Anyone wanting to jump in they can buy the All-in-One Package.

It looks cool, but they've pulled that whole city meets big scale battle thing with most of their games. I'm reminded of early Versus footage with this. I loved seeing Donald and Goofy again.

Kingdom Hearts III was good, but there was so much talking and waiting to actually play the game. Save points were like hours at times. I finished it, but I skipped two parts that felt like it dragged on for far too long. Plus I've been in the waiting room for Kingdom Hearts and it takes forever to come out.
 
Didn't they finish the story (or whatever that was) with KH3? And I was under the impression that KH3 was kind of underwhelming (creatively and commercially) right?
 
I'm incredibly excited, but the realistic looks seems really not fit for KH.

But sweet cheesuz, in terms of story gosh they are start killing me with a character I though was dead(Strelitza!)! And the start of a new arc, I'm really looking foward to it!

Can't really understand all the hate, trolling and concern in this thread.
SQEX haven't had problem developing games since they shifted to UE and they seem to be moving forward with this.
They've been consistently releasing games since FFVIIRE and KH3, so all this trolling is boring and childish.
This game will be fine, likely release 2024 or 2025 as FFXVI will get a 2023 or 2024 release for sure.
Stop being dumb, people.
 
Good, next gen only, finally. Kingdom hearts 3 was so bad and when it finally hit pc, shit looked last gen....I don't get why ppl were so impressed with PS4 graphics. They look last gen as fuck now.

I was not a fan of KH3 but I still think about the KH and KH2 days and miss this series, so hopefully I like this one more.
 
This guy's stories get more convoluted and terrible with each game. Needs to let someone else check his terrible instincts when it comes to narrative.
 
I wish I could get excited, but the story and writing is so bad plus even in the newer games combat for me never feels as tight as in other character action games.
