Kirby : Triple Deluxe new screenshots / JPN box art

If you were frustrated by one-way-doors in Amazing Mirror, you should have looked closer. Doors that are one-way have a different star than ones that exist on both sides. I still hold Amazing Mirror up as the best portable Kirby so far.

KatAM isn't my favorite (that honor goes to KSSU), but this is true - the doors look different, IIRC.

Kirby is angry on the JP box? Oh god.
How furious is he going to be on the boat ride over to the states?!

Kirby is kinda like Cony:

Super cute one minute and super angry the next.
Like my wife
unfortunately
.

Mmm... gooooood.

Damn that reminds me, I should grab Return to Dreamland and Epic Yarn soon.

...yes I missed them don't ask me how/why I'm already completely ashamed as a supposed Kirby mega-fan T^T

And now I feel stupid for not seeing it earlier.

Haha you and me both, I'm having a straight up "d'oh!" moment now. :p

That doesn't solve anything because the question is still whether the door is the right way or not? Too much trial and error for my liking.

This is actually the first portable Kirby game I've been interested in in quite some time. Kirby's Return to Dreamland was just excellent, and this looks to be cut from the same cloth.

Epic Yarn is one of my favorite games from last gen. I can't help but have a smile on my face while playing...it invokes that sense of wonder similar to the mario galaxy games.

The game gets criticized for being too easy, but if you try to 100% it there is enough of a challenge.

Man I really need to play Epic Yarn soon. The style of that game looks so nice.

Is this the shortest amount of time between announcement and release of a retail video game? (Or at least Nintendo)

October 1st- January 11th: 101 days.

Seems like it should be up there, if not at the top.

Looks nice as expected.

I'd love if they gave the Kirby series a makeover and made it a bit more difficult, does Kirby even sell big numbers to be a mainstream title? It could be a great little challenging platformer rather than just eyecandy. Maybe even fast/hard difficulty modes would suffice.

get those two games.

get those two games now.

Oh no, his American anger has crossed over to Japan.

If this becomes a new thing, I'm gonna be pissed.

I mean, it's not like I don't even import the Japanese versions or anything, but it's just wrong to look at.

Kinda' wanted something along the lines of Mass Attack, Canvas Curse or even something "less" Kirby-like.

Don't get me wrong, I like standard Kirby, but some of my favorite games in the series are when they mix up the formula.

Just saw this on Siliconera. Some new (the first?) official screenshots for Kirby : Triple Deluxe, coming out on January 11 in Japan.

First, there's a bigger version of the JP boxart :

And then, there's the screenshots :

Is this the first time the JP boxart had angry Kirby?

WIsh Kirby would make the jump to 3D at some point, but whatever. Game looks pretty good, though I'll probably wait for impressions. I really liked Nightmare in Dreamland and Canvas Curse, but I played the N64 one and it kind of soured me on kirby games, despite having enjoyed them in the past.
