Kitchen Nightmares - Amy's Baking Company - owners fight back against the haters!!

My loose analysis of the situation:

a. She is most likely mentally unstable, and they're both paranoid because

b. She is a convicted criminal, and there's probably some aspect of the restaurant's business that is shady, and they have been frustrated that what they think is a decent plan has been interrupted by

c. Bloggers and Yelpers making the restaurant a veritable warzone and making it harder to have consistent, smooth business. They want to ameliorate this by having Ramsay vindicate their food, which backfires when

d. The food is pre-bought crap, undoing any of the meticulous preparation they had done to make the restaurant look as unneeding of renovation or a serious examination as possible so

e. She becomes so paranoid about the extra stress and them looking into things any further and throws a number of psychological deflections up to try and leave.

And obviously, they're horrible as employers and restaurant owners and are in no way fit to run an operation like that. Plus they're impossibly dumb for giving themselves more national attention.

I think there were a couple of Gaffers earlier on in the thread who live close to it. If I lived anywhere near it, I'd stay well away from there. Apperently there's an Arby's across the street or something, they should go there instead.

It's Scottsdale, you can find a better place to eat throwing a rock down the street. Most of the high class dinning is in and around this area.

The tip thing was inexcusable. If they pay their employees a good wage that isn't dependent on tips, then they should tell customers not to tip not let customers unknowingly hand them over extra money.

I love me some Kitchen Nightmares, despite the show having the same formula every episode but these people were on the next level

If you have Netflix, check out the UK version. Far different. It has it's own formula, but the nature of it really does vary from episode to episode.

As much as I don't want to support these nuts, I'm going to eat there this weekend with my wife. I also plan on sending whatever I order back to the kitchen to see what kind if reaction I get. I'm really excited and will video it.

As much as that's funny, you're not going to be the first to do that..... so you're going to look like a tool.

Make sure to have your exit strategy planned. You never know when, who, or if either will snap.

It's only a 25-30 minute drive to there for me, and I kind of want to check it out just for the experience, but I don't think I'd want to actually give my money to these crazy people, lol. Maybe I'll check it out if I find myself in the area sometime.

I live in Anthem, and briefly considered it, but I think it could only end in disaster.

Also, PhoenixGAF represent!

It's one thing to send the food back just for laughs.

But if some of the items really are that terrible, he would still be within his right to send it back.

With that said, I agree that an exit plan is required.

Never before did an episode of Fox’s “Kitchen Nightmares” live up to its name as it did during Friday’s season finale featuring Amy’s Baking Company in Scottsdale.

It was the primetime version of the stuff nightmares are made of. And it’s one that owners Salomon “Samy” and Amy Bouzaglo can’t seem to wake up from.

Since the show’s airing, there’s been a public meltdown from a poster claiming to be Samy Bouzaglo. “This is Samy,” the poster wrote on Facebook. “I am keeping note of all names here. We will be pursuing action against you legaly, (sic) and against reddit and yelp, for this plot you have come together on. you are all just punks.”

The posts also call website users profane names.

The latest post on the company’s Facebook page claims the owners never wrote the vitriolic comments. It reads, “Obviously our Facebook, YELP, Twitter and Website have been hacked. We are working with the local authorities as well as the FBI computer crimes unit to ensure this does not happen again. We did not post those horrible things. Thank You Amy &Samy.”

During the hourlong show, TV viewers were treated to scenes of the Bouzaglos yelling expletives at customers, taking tips left for servers and refusing to take any criticism from the host, British chef Gordon Ramsay.

It was the first time Ramsay has quit a restaurant before implementing new business practices. He said that for the first time in nearly 100 episodes, he had finally met “two owners who I could not help, and it wasn’t because I didn’t want to, it was because they are incapable of listening.”

The social-media storm started with a post on the restaurant’s Facebook page Friday night, an hour before the 7 p.m. West Coast airing.

In part, it read: “We do not feel the need to make any excuses for our behavior on tonight’s show. However we would like to make the following statement: We do not, nor have we ever stolen or taken any of our servers, waitresses, or waiters tips at Amy’s Baking Company.”

The response was immediate.

In seven minutes, there were 265 comments, mostly variations on calling the owners crazy. Twenty minutes later, there were 1,000 comments.

Then things got out of control.

Over the weekend, thousands of people took to posting one-star and negative reviews on Yelp. The company has since removed many of them, citing a violation of its terms of service and content guidelines.

Reddit users uncovered Amy’s sordid past, which The Republic has verified.

Her name is Amanda, not Amy, and she was convicted of a felony. In 2003, she pleaded guilty to the misuse of a Social Security number after she tried to apply for a $15,000 bank loan. Back then, her last name was Bossingham — she married Samy Bouzaglo in January 2004. Amy surrendered for her time in federal prison in late 2008 and was released in October 2009.

By Tuesday afternoon, the story broke into the mainstream. National outlets such as Buzzfeed and Huffington Post have weighed in on the Bouzaglos’ social-media tirade. Buzzfeed called it “the most epic brand meltdown on Facebook ever.”

What were the Bouzaglos expecting when they signed up for the show? It seems they agreed to go on the show in hopes that Ramsay would fall over himself with praise for the food and owners.

“Chef Ramsay is coming to tell the people how the food is good here,” Samy says in the beginning of the show, taped in December. (That statement was immediately followed by a clip of him throwing a customer out of the restaurant.)

Repeated e-mail requests for comment have gone unanswered since Friday night. The phone number listed for Amy’s Baking Company says the mailbox is full and can’t accept new messages.

Only time will tell whether Amy’s Baking Company will survive. One thing is for certain — it won’t go gently into the night.

No, it won't go quietly into the night. It'll go screaming "FUCK OFF" into the night.

I've never seen this show and likely never will again.

But having worked for people like this, all I can say is that seeing Miranda and Co. get back at Samy and Amy made me so happy for them.

They never stole tips?
You admitted it on camera, assholes. Gaaaaaaaaahrrhaaarggh, I'm gonna have a fucking aneurysm.

That look on Amy's face when Ramsey gave that girl a tip was priceless.

How dare you give one of my employees validation? They might start getting ideas, like realizing that they can do better than this shithole.

8 minutes in and I'm already dead.

God, the ass kissing is in full effect. I feel bad for the employees.

I gagged when I was watching the show and he bit into the burger. The liquid dripping out of it... ugh. Imagining the way that must feel to have in your mouth honestly turns my stomach. It's the first time Kitchen Nightmares has ever made me feel queasy.

I've been following this all day. I had never watched the show. It was amazing.

These people are clearly crazy and/or delusional. Folie a deux in action.

Looking at their FourSquare page, it's hit them hard too. However, most of the complaints have been within the past few hours or days. Here's some from earlier:

Went today and loved it! The lobster ravioli was amazing, with big chunks of lobster, not some shredded unidentifiable seafood. Happy hour drink prices are CHEAP, that makes me happy
