I wouldn't bet money on them winning the west, but these days most teams, including the Spurs, are playing some sort of space and pace offense.

That's the thing, the game has moved on from 1962. To answer your question, he didn't, that team put up 169 on that night and Wilt took 63 attempts to get there. The game didn't even go to OT.

The Spurs are not as healthy or as good as they have been the last two years their play on the court shows it and the spurs have never won back to back championships. On top of all of that Golden State has never had their full squad going into the playoffs the last two or three years either Bogut or David lee was hurt and unable to play in the playoffs. They just have to stay healthy and they will be fine.
