Knack [PS4] Gamescom trailer

I think it looks great. I'm leaning toward picking this up at launch just to serve as a break between all the shoot shoot bang bang titles.

That's the exact same plan I have. Going to get Knack and Killzone at launch and download Driveclub. BF4 can wait until Christmas or something like that.

For sure, buying Knack and Killzone. I'll play stuff like BF4/Watch Dogs on PC.

Hope the game isn't as shallow as those first gameplay demos made it appear to be.

If there's a little more depth, challenge and substance I can see this game being a nice diversion from the rest of the crowd.

Is this game a full $60 or $40? At the latter price it might find an easier job of convincing people. Obviously that depends on the length of the game, the amount of content etc.

I can't tell how interesting the game play will be from the trailers they've shown, but it leaves the impression that it's a super simple brawler driven by a lot of cut scenes.

Yeah, I'm thinking Knack and Killzone and maybe download Planetside 2 - never played it on the PC and though I'm sure my PC would no doubt run it much better I'd like to try it out on PS4.

The cutscenes look great, but the problem with the game is that once it's gameplay time, the camera shifts into a view that makes everything look nondescript and you are constantly running around in these tiny little arenas instead of actually exploring the vast terrain.

I will say one thing I like about the ps4 games I've been seeing is the dynamic lighting and shadowing. It adds so much depth to everything.

Do you feel you have something to prove?
I don't mean that as an insult. It honestly seems like its aimed at kids. And I would buy it for mine if I had them because it looks like it would be fun for that demographic. Basically what I said in my first comment.

It looks interesting but I'd have to wait for reviews.

I feel like PSN+ seriously undermines the sales performance of games like this. I honestly don't know why I should pay $50-60 for Knack when it will probably be a free PSN game within six months of launch.

This.

Gameplay impressions from E3 didn't sound too good either. Maybe its playable at Gamescom.

Gotta say it looks kinda boring so far. I'm sure it'll have some neat technical tricks though. It would be great to see more interesting level design and platforming.

I never understood the hate for this game.

Game visuals are stunning, simple gameplay (required for the targeted audience) and nice story.

I'll pick this game up at launch, seems fun.

I'm actually starting to get really excited to play Knack. I really think it should be $40 though, no disrespect to the game but I think it would do really well at $40. Not so much at $60.

I really like the look of this game, and the scope of it looks great as well. I think this could be a real surprise at $39.99. Don't hate me Cerny, but these types of games just can't compete at $60, especially when surrounded by KZ, AC, Watch Dogs, COD, BF4, etc etc. Follow in the footsteps of Sly 4 and Puppeteer, and it could sway a lot of people at launch.

What gameplay? People here would hype up a literal piece of shit as long as Sony published it.

Oh you. Why so cranky?

Oh, I see. Sorry, I misunderstood your comment. I thought you meant that you'd have to have kids as an excuse to buy it, because you felt it was too childish to buy it just for yourself.

Just the cynic in me. I'll put him to sleep...

Looks great! I'm the type that welcomes diversity in style. Visually, I'm digging it! Not only the cartoony Dreamworks-esque art direction, but the setting. Rarely do you see modern worlds that feature creatures like goblins(which are usually reserved for medieval fantasy worlds). I kinda wonder why that type of thing isn't used more? Y'know, maybe a modern world where an internet cafe has an Elf barista, or an auto garage run by Dwarf brother mechanics. Usually fantasy tends to separate ideas to different eras. I'm all for the mixing of things. It makes everything more interesting!

I'm actually liking what I'm seeing and when it comes to launch day games this is the exclusive I'm interested in most, that includes XO exclusives too. There's just something about this that I really like about it

I don't know.. it looks good i guess but the gameplay looks so bland. Does this have 2 player co-op or something? It looks like "i-will-get-it-on-ps+" game to me.
