Man, I really want to see a movie of this in action. Just to get a feel of how this battle system works. XD On a side note, the engrish has really gotten pretty bad this time around.

All these JRTS games. So cruel... You take a look at the pretty art, get yourself excited and then the crappy gameplay pics come and punch you in the face.

I've completely forgotten what this game was about. But the pics suggest to me some kind of Atlus turn based strategy game

Oh God, I can't wait for this game, I loved Yggdra Union despite it's brutal cheapness.

What... is this o.O. and why is everyone all over it?.
Art looks awesome! .. but seriously what's up with all the neon-lazers Ă•.Ă´.

My god, those screens are far too busy. I suspect it's attack animations causing that impression, but I really need to see some gameplay videos.

About the same as Riviera and Yggdra, really.

Looks awesome.

I don't remember Yggdra Union ever having that much crap on screen.

Oh really?

Even so, they have a constent trend of liking to put lots of things on the screen.

Point taken. Like I said, I think it just looks busier in screens than it does in motion.

A bunch of pics

:lol :lol OK point taken, but once you knew what everything meant it was easy as to understand.

Of course. Riviera is one of my favorite GBA games. Yggdra wasn't quite as good, but it's still a very good game.

I wasn't criticizing them for putting a lot of stuff on screen... I was just saying that they do it, so it's no surprise that Knights in the Nightmare is doing it too.

I haven't played Riviera, does it share Yggdra Union's crushing unfairness?

They're completely different kinds of games. Yggdra is a strategy game, Riviera a pretty unique kind of RPG (with adventure game elements). But yeah, Riviera isn't anywhere near as cruel as Yggdra. Riviera is really only of moderate difficulty at best... great, great game, but not that hard.

This thread on it's fairly recent, and good.

Yggdra, though... yeah, that game's just insane.

No idea what this game is really about, but the art sure is nice. Even if some of the armor those characters are wearing looks kinda silly and pastel.

Yes, that's what I was saying last night. It's really hard to get what the battle system will be like this time around without actually seeing it play out, and that's why I was mostly disappointed there was no video on the site (that, and to see Sting's luscious 2D work). Yggdra Union had a great teaser video right from the start.

Nothing about this game looks crappy to me. I mean, yeah, I think there's a lot of information clutter, but as with Yggdra Union and Riviera, most of that is probably necessary to complement the complex gameplay.

I'm a sucker for Sting games, though it's a painful relationship. I got through Riviera okay, but I had to stop in the middle of Yggdra Union with no way to grind and facing an impossible mission. :(

I think it would have been better if it healed your characters at least some between missions. Having no way to heal aside from using items... that just made it stupidly hard at times.

The art seems FFT but the map like character select on the site reminds me of FE in the variety.

I am glad Sting decided to make this game

really? What mission was it? I dont remember any impossible missions. The only one that was really hard for me was the one where you had to fight that dinosaur riding general guy.

I have a hard time remembering (it was at least 6 months ago I put it down), but I wanna say there were a bunch of chicks that were nicely lined up. I'll look it up.

Hmm... I think I was on 13-2:

Looks like there are triggers that I can avoid to skip the rather impossible units. Yay!

How accessible is Yggdra Union? That's the only Sting game I've missed out on getting.

I wouldn't say the game is too hard, but the problem is that the game is so unfair. It will make bosses invincible and won't even tell you. The items you use to equip you characters, are also pretty much the only way to heal them. And it all climaxes with a mission where your only option is to take damage. Actually I take that back there is a mission towards the end that is much worse.

Edit: Looking at the title of the LE again, it says DHE Series Special Pack. Maybe it's Riveria, Yggdra and Knights in one package?
Interest piqued, though I'll wait for a more accessible pricing scheme.

Yes, it's obvious that they didn't play test Yggra Union very much. It has more 'bullshit unintuitive fights' than any other game I've ever played, and considering the horrific hassle that even taking damage results in, makes the game absolutely infuriating.

As I said, all it really needed was easier healing... though yeah, much more warning about invincible enemies would be really, really nice too. I didn't find the plot as interesting as Riviera's was, either... and it was somewhat confusing at times.
