The red square with the PS3 logo on the spines of PS3 games.

It's completely out of place, matches nothing else on the case, why was it added? Did they just let a 4 year old have a seizure on the keyboard with photoshop open when they came up with it? Why didn't they just slap the tried and true PS family logo on there?

I might be getting a PS3 soon, and this definitely doesn't alter my opinion of the system, but I display my games where all you see is the spine, and that red square is extremely annoying. Is there any place that prints custom sticker sheets so I could put a PS logo sticker on top?

What bugs me more is the fact that the cases are oddly shaped with weird translucent plastic arbitrarily on top.

Sorry but when it comes to my game/DVD shelf, I'm extremely OCD. Other stuff not so much, but anything that sticks out on my game shelf I just can't stand (I took my Xbox games off of display because the green didn't match anything else on the shelf and stuck out really badly).

Silliness aside, I agree. Sony was blue, Nintendo was red. Then Nintendo started using blue and Sony just rolled over and stuck with red.
