Kojima reveals his GOTY 2014

Kinda surprised.

Well to be fair he said he doesn't have time for all those AAA games right now, so i'm not surprised it's a mobile game.

That being said FRAMED looks really cool, i'll probably check it out.

Yeah, he now has me curious about this game now too haha.

Does look interesting and not just because Hideo likes it either. I'll check it out.

Heard about this yesterday and I'm really happy for the developer loveshack because they are melbourne based (Australia for those who don't know where it is).

Hopefully framed gets a few more downloads because of this.

Framed is actually quite fun. I really love the gameplay idea

still prefer shovel knight though.

Pretty much. Not shitting on FRAMED or anything, but most developers barely have time to play games themselves, especially someone in Kojima's position.

Kojima always seems so likeable, and a great guy all around.

As per the game, if it ever arrives on Android I'll give it a try.

Actually looks like a game I would enjoy a lot. But I don't use ios devices.
Hope this attention inspires him to make an Android/PC port.

If Kojima wrote that to me I would be the happiest person on the planet.
Seriously, it's got to be super crazy to grow up playing Kojima's games and being inspired to pursue a career in games from it, and then reading that from him. He made it.

I kinda want this now, reminds me of Gorogoa, and I absolutely adored that demo and can't wait for the final game.

I don't own an iOS device though, so there's that.

Happy about this for a number of reasons, but mainly because this involves Ollie Browne

Ollie was the front man for awesome austrlian band "Art of Fighting" (yes, named after the game) and also Parallel Lions. I <3 Art of Fighting.

He's a friend of a friend, and we met after one of his gigs - i used to interview artists when i was at Uni so i am aware as to not bug people after a gig, but the second he knew i was into gaming that was it - we just ended up chatting away about games. Verry very cool guy - i believe he also worked on the pretty good Transformers game for Melbourne House. Conversation got a little hazy lol.

But yeah, great guy, game is great, good for them. Please support.

It's presented like a comic book where a story plays out depending on the flow of the panels

you move the panels around to change how the story progresses - so on a very basic level :

Panel 1 - a corridor
Panel 2 - a cop by a door
Panel 3 - a door in a corridor
Panel 4 - an exit (Iocked - you can't change this)

So - the protagonist enters panel 1 and runs across the corridor, in panel 2 he is spotted by the cop. Scene failed.

you slide the panels so the order is now 1-3-2-4

The next time the protagonist enters panel 1 and runs across the corridor, in then next panel (3) this is now a door in a corridor, which the protagonist enters, the panel after that (2) is the cop by a door but this time you open the door and knock the cop out, then you escape.

The complexity then ramps up and... yeah... it's pretty great.

I feel happy for that guy. It must be awesome to have your idol complement you like that. Now I feel curious about that game, never had heard of it. Not to fond of mobile gaming, but might check it out.

How long till GG storms his twitter to "calmly persuade" him that he is wrong in liking a game that ZQ worked on?

"No, guys, he's not banning people because he doesn't agree with GamerGate, he's banning people because he doesn't want people to talk about GamerGate on his account!"

It's a fun little game. Very unique and stylish, but it's rather short.

Far from GOTY material imo, but it's definitely worth checking out.

FRAMED is by the same guy who made antichamber no ?

Such a piece of art that game is!!!

I should really try this, the concept seems genius.

Also, must be fucking awesome to have your game be Kojima's GOTY.

For others who love this game, a sequel just got announced - full story.

Hopefully will come to more formats this time around. You would think this small indie would be more cashed up now and have the capacity to go to consoles/PC.
