As much as I doubt it, I hope it really is his last one and he moves on to a completely new AAA IP, preferably in an entirely different genre. Kojima is one of the most creative game designers in the business and it'd be nice to see his take on a console RPG for instance.

Metal Gear Ac!d 3 pls

YES. I don't think Kojima has much of a hand in those though.

I just want good son to fight crazy dad already. Once outer Haven and Zanzibar has been done with state-of-the-art visuals, then you can move on Kojima-san.

So no more "Solid"? I guess its time to give Solid a brake.

Gotta give someone else a place to shine. Hope the next Metal Gear has half of the charisma that the Solid arc has. That would be enough for an awesome spin off.

My favorite franchise. I hope it never ceases to exist. Even if we don't have Solid/Naked Snake anymore.

I'm willing to believe that it's going to be his last Metal Gear. He seems to have wanted to get off the series for a long time, and with Silent Hills on the horizon he has something else to devote his attention to.

The series itself will probably continue but honestly I doubt I'll bother following it past any remakes. Metal Gear and Kojima go hand in hand for me.

The last metal gear centering Big Boss he means, because next are the remakes to Metal Gear 1&2 and Shadow Moses (Mgs1)

Metal gear solid solid

Still waiting for that zone of the enders 3 featuring Nicolas Cage. But I know Kojima will say fuck it to ZoE3 and just make MGS Acid 3 instead
1.0

I'm pretty sure there exists somewhere a picture of Kojima and Sakurai laughing it up as they sip champagne and toss around fat stacks of money, with the caption "We told them it'd be our last game!"

Honestly though, if Kojima ever stepped aside and told Konami "MGS is all you now, do what you want", could you even imaginehow badly they'd fuck it up?
Well, Rising's development gave us a taste. Before Rising, MGS5 was supposed to be The Boss and her Cobras in the Invasion of Normandy (god how fucking incredible could this be if Kojima did it) and Kojima told his younger team "do it". But they were scared and they sucked, so they proposed Rising. They still sucked, for many years, until P* came in and salvaged Rising. Metal Gear without Kojima would be a disaster.

Of course , i dont know nothing about those two games and would love to know the story, can only imagine...

Although this is the same thing he has already said, over and over, besides a possible MG 1&2 remake, i hope he's being true this time. i would love to see what else Kojima can do.

I imagine at some point he will put his foot down because he won't have it in him to create another one. I wouldn't be surprised if he was able to retire by now either to be quite honest.

What else does Konami own (and not contract out) at this point besides Kojima Productions and Metal Gear that is actually bringing in big money?

I wouldn't be surprised to see Metal Gear 1&2 remade, but they would not be Kojima directed. I don't think he's interested in remakes. Twin Snake was directed by someone else.

I actually believe him now more than ever because of how the story now loops back to Metal Gear 1. the Metal Gear saga is complete. If he makes a new one, thinking this will be a brand new plot line, he wouldn't be able to leave Metal Gear again. Chances of this one being his final one is higher than before.

Still, if he directs another one, I wouldn't be surprised either.

Kojima's team still wrote rising's story, which was a disaster. If Kojima walked away from the mainline series, it wouldn't be the first time. Kojima always comes back to salvage their mess as was the case with PW.

I wonder if he foresaw this happening or if this was just pure coincidence.

Shit has probably been going down behind the scenes for a long time. This sort of stuff doesn't happen overnight, especially the way Konami steamrolled Kojima Productions and tried to erase Kojima from the MGS brand on all websites and such.

Kojima, be free my friend.

I think it's pretty clear Konami will try to milk the MGS franchise even though Kojima has left. But it's kind of making a Mario game without Miyamoto: of course you can create a great game, but it won't have the same soul.

Since Kojima is technically leaving Konami after TPP is finished, I just wonder what'll happen to his other projects (e.g Silent Hills).
