It's a shame they don't bring the series overseas anymore, though looking at the sales numbers I don't really blame them. Power Pros and Power Pros 08 both had awesome Career modes, with RPG and life-sim elements that made them unlike anything I ever played before. If I ever scratch learning Japanese off my bucket list, this series is right next to Sakura Taisen and Yakuza as the ones I'm going to dive into.
At least they're still making console versions. The series seems like a perfect fit for a F2P mobile game, as saddening as that sounds.

It's generally seen as one of the best sports games around.
2K brought a couple of the games over in the past and just called it MLB Power Pros. Konami could do it now without going through 2K since the MLB license is up for anyone now. But I wouldn't really hold my breath for that to happen.
Wait, they're free to publish this in Japan and Europe/Asia but Major League Baseball is all "LOL NO" to America?

It's a licensed game in Japan too, but instead of the MLB it uses the Japanese NPB.
Actually, their F2P Mobile Power Pro Baseball game is their biggest hit on that platform right now.
Also the two MLB Power Pros games we got had the MLB license even in Japan.

Love these games, I've been importing them every year for a good while now. Very happy to see them move to PS4 now.

I'm not a fan of sports games, but I've occasionally imported these games, and I do enjoy them. I love the visual style, and the gameplay is deep, but not too complicated and fun.
