Konami is officially the worst company on Earth

I can't wait for the next print.

I like how there are 2 'T' ratings on that cover.

And two Konami logos. What really would have made it perfect is if the the picture of the cover was actually covering the real cover, so you see the original image blocked by the smaller DS cart.

Oh God that is the bestest.

Uh oh box-art brigade is showing up. Honestly though you buy a budget game you pay the price, simple as that.

I don't have a problem with most of the budget box stuff. No red-strip phobia over here, or anything.

But that box and the 360 platinum hits look like such total shit I'm surprised they made it off the canvas of the blind chimpanzee that put them together.

I don`t see the corrolary between enjoying nice box art, and not having a life, seeing as looking at box art doesn`t exactly take time out of a busy schedule of doing lines of coke off stripper`s asses and being chummy with vacant has-been movie stars.

That said, I feel for you, Reilly. For collectors, this shit is irritating. :(

:lol After the best version I wouldn't be shocked to see this.

And I was really like "wtf?" when I received my amazon order of this. Shame on Konami.

Nintendo did it right with the PAL players choice range. Just changed the black sections to silver and added "players choice" just above the GC logo.

Wouldn't it cost more to make a new cover? Even this one? I don't get it. Is this just to punish people for buying their game at the wrong time?

it's a cover guy the game inside is awesome

You have to understand, Amir0x. For some of us, the entire package (box and manual included) is the experience, not just the game inside. If I didn`T care about the box and manual, I`d probably toss the box the minute I opened the game.

i am trying to understand really hard. i imagine this sort of feelings about cover art comes from the same dark evil place where people think Animal Crossing is fun, instead of an elaborate dusty attic to collect ugly N64-era polygonial furniture, but i guess i'll just never see the perspective.

To me, dude should be happy he even has this game! It's one of the best, if not THE best games, on DS!

The industry takes all kinds, dude!

I found Castlevania: DS (the original print) at the airport the other day and promptly bought it. Due to having enough f***ing hand luggage already and the fact that I would probably never sell the game, I took the cartridge and instructions out, put them in my bag and threw the box in the garbage.

<a stunned silence falls over the 100s of collectors in this thread>

I threw away the box for this game. Then again, I play games, not boxes. I don't really understand the collecting urge, but if I had it I'd probably collect something other than product packaging.

Like others have said, if Amazon showed one picture and you got a different one, send it back---and blame Amazon, not Konami.

:lol I also bought this game a few weeks ago and received it with that cover. It's a little annoying, but I wouldn't go hunting for a used copy just to fix it.

I take it you don't check your game boxes to make sure they have no imperfections before you buy like some of us do.:lol

Hell, I even despised PAL PS2 and Gamecube games for the horrible spines they had on their games with default text. I'd buy NTSC whenever I could partially for that reason (and you were getting a better conversion generally). Microsoft got it right - their games have beautiful, full colour spines even on PAL versions.

And don't get me started on Player's Choice/Platinum etc... boxes which truly belong in the trash.
