Konami's X-Men Arcade game - XBLA/PSN, 6 player drop-in/drop-out online multiplayer

I actually got the 4p version from an arcade auction a few years ago. Its cool but loses its novelty after completing once. And yeah, we made it a rule that anytime you used Colossus's super move you had to YEEEAAAAARGH

You could probably apply this to pretty much any beat em up of that era, but they're fun anyway. It's cool this is finally coming out. :)

Now I wait for Capcom's Dungeon & Dragon games and Alien vs Predator.
 
Damn, I don't want To say what every one else is saying but yeah add me to the list of those demanding an version of Capcoms dungeons and dragons games and all will be good.
 
Wow, 20 years later we are getting this game at home.

It would be nice if Pryde of the X-men was also put up for video download as well.

Are they just doing this to demonstrate how much better the modern funnybook games are?

Take off your nostalgia goggles, this game was terrible for comic fans. Great compared to the bullshit that was crapped out on consoles at the time, but still - Wolverine shooting lasers off his claws? Colossus using an area clearing energy blast? WTF IS THIS SHIT?!

Questions I asked playing it back in the arcade, and inexcusable in a world where X-Men Legends 2 exists. Even if Fastball Special didn't count as a combo move in that game. >:|

Yeah, a X-Men Legends 3 would be pretty cool. But then there is always this.

One of the main reasons why I love this new arcade/wiiware/psn thing =3
Will totaly play with everyone in a more couch coop thing possible to refeel the feeling of the arcade like we did with turtles in time, turtles arcade, final fight and even castle crashers and scott pilgrim (wich we imagined what it would be like in the arcades xD)

that said ... i will try to say in the most non bannable way ...

The original 6 player arcade version was never avaliable in my country, so I will not have any nostalgic problems regarding the lack of 6 player couch coop ... but it is a shame that nintendo size limit don't allow this game to be played in the only current console wich suports 6 player coop (4 wiimotes/2 cube controlers or any mix of that like bomberman blast) ... but in the worst case we will get 2 play3/360 in the same room and play online with the system right next to us to some bizarre brainfucked multitap thing xD

There are no adaptors/multitap for ps3/360 ?
Or this game just don't support it ?

...and +1 to the "now it is time for the simpsons one ! =3

edit: a friend told me that the ps3 suports even to 7 players offline ... so ... nothing about the ps3 version supporting the 6 players offline ? =x

Legends 2 is better than 1 yeah

IIRC they got rid of the single player magma missions and other things that got in the way of co-op

I think Legends 2 is regarded as the best in the line of those co-op action rpgs

I'm actually slightly bummed about this. I'm sure. . . ten years ago I would have been all over this. :\

Either way it will be fun to watch folks come to the realization after they plop down the cash for this.

Also, it's nostalgia. Play it, then play a better one. Compare. 6 players is its only hook.
