years ago Kotaku was a pretty good site they were really on point. But then new people started working there and with every article i read I was like WTF... Started with some woman Harnandez or something, I started not caring about their opinion, stop reading the articles, erased bookmark and never looked back.

I think it is entirely possible their agenda pushing plays into this, but I seriously doubt that is the main reason - the main reason probably being that people just get their gaming news & information by other means, mostly.

Ad-based revenue is dwindling almost everywhere and media that so heavily relied on them are struggling all across, no matter their, uh, "political affiliations".

Let me tell you what's going to happen next... A small amount of these guys will keep writing the exact same thing in other media outlets doomed to eventually disappear. About half of the staff will look for a similar job, won't find it and will tell themselves they are going to work in other fields for a while but they won't come back to journalism. The other half of the staff will abandon journalism right away and dump all their withdrawal needs on social media.
