Sooo fucking glad. Have it on PS3 (plan on selling it soon, need the money =() but the one thing I wished for was to be able to play without jaggies and 1080p. Wow i'm so hyped for this now. I didn't like Red Dead Redemption but if they release it on PC I will get it via Steam sale, the beautiful vista's in 1080p/lots of AA would make it worth double dipping for me.

If its as highly optimized as the GTA IV engine I can only choose between jaggieless or fluid :(

Fuck you piece of shit, who gives you the right to judge a game based that may not 'vary' to your tastes, just because it's not dudebro bullshit and you're not killing Russians and Middle Eastern people doesn't mean this game isn't 'boring ass'.
I agree with this on every point, however I don't think exploding on the guy is going to change his mind.

I'd much rather have Red Dead on PC.

no, believe me you're not. You'll be enjoying vistas in HD for first two hours and then boredom will overtake you. Still it's good if you're sticking to the story missions in small quantities.

GTA 4 runs fine on a modern system. What you should be complaining about is rockstar trying to stop people from modding the game and forcing shitty colour filters on people.

great. i choose to wait for RDR and when that didn't get released, i chose not to wait for LA Noire. ah well, at least i'm really enjoying it. i'll rebuy it for the right price down the line.

I definitely would. Red Dead is a much better game in terms of actually being a game.

Wrong.

What the hell? I literally just bought this on 360. 3 discs, framerate issues, looks like shit. Fuck! I'd have much rather played it on PC.

Not good enough in my books, I am sick and tired of seeing Rockstar crap all over the PC platform with late releases and shoddy products. So I won't be bothering with LA Noire on the PC.

If Rockstar want to see my money again they will start releasing a competent PC version at the same time as the console version.

Too little. Too late. Boring ass game.
Unfortunately, yes. I was so hyped for this game, I would have bought it on day 1. Now that I've watched a few hours on Youtube, I'm severely disappointed. The cases and interrogations are very unrealistic and there's way too much handholding.

And then there are all these things that completely kill the immersion. When I interrogate a witness, I do not want to constantly be reminded that the game keeps track of whether I picked the "right" choice. In fact, I do not want to have to make a choice after every single statement. In real life, a detective would generally trust eye witnesses and simply listen to what they have to say. In this game however, they withhold information all the time, they lie etc. And why? Because the game completely overuses the Truth/Doubt/Lie system. They're shoving it down your throat, and just so you don't get bored, they make Doubt and Lie the correct answer more often than Truth. So silly.

So you haven't played it and only watched it on youtube? I think you need to play it because I feel that LA noire is a great game with some problems but it's still worth playing.

Holy shit. Did I kill your mother or something?

The game was boring to me. I fell asleep three times attempting to finish the game. Which I eventually did and was disappointed in. The city is lifeless, Cole is a bipolar wacko ("YOU'RE LYING! I'LL KILL YOU! TELL ME THE TRUTH." "Do you have time to answer some questions please?"), the side missions are tedious and it just falls flat.

I was pumped for the game, but it let me down. A PC port that should have been there day and date isn't going to help that.

So Rockstar is releasing everything for the PC with the usual 3-6 month delay, except for Red Dead Redemption.

Why?
Maybe because they don't get all the tech, engine and whatever until after the games released/after going gold.

As much as I want it to happen, L.A. Noire coming first is a bad sign :(
There's also the fact that they repeatedly said they had no plans to do it, which would normally mean they could change their minds, but they were pretty adamant about it.

I would really love some real RDR multiplayer given no hardware restrictions.. sigh.

I've played both games, I just want them in glorious graphics and mods. RDR is a much better game, with a significantly better realized open-world and story, while L.A. Noire relies on simple unintuitive gimmicks and repetitive, shallow gameplay (imo). Besides, RDR has got incredible lighting.

Furthermore I'm more of a Sergio Leone guy than a Billy Wilder guy. ;)

Please don't turn this into a RDR vs LA: Noire thread

I wonder how are those FMV faces gonna hold up when the game is ran at higher resolutions.

In this case I think Rockstar would've benefited from releasing it day an date with the console versions. Bad word of mouth has already spread everywhere.

None of the things I hate about this game will go away. So nope, I won't play it myself until it's 5$ on Steam.

Whatever but don't talk like you've played it, watching on youtube is not playing the game or really doesn't even give you the same sense that you would get from playing it.

the PC version will also feature 3D support for an even greater sense of interaction and immersion within a painstakingly detailed 1940s Los Angeles.

So damn happy that I waited. AWESOME.
