So I decided to go back and watch The Last Man on Earth after I finished reading the book (because fuck the will smith version), and it still shocks me how good it is considering when it came out. Which led me to want to rewatch the original House on Haunted Hill, which is another price movie I enjoyed. Not having my thirst for Price quenched quite so easily, now I'm watching Masque of the Red Death, which I've never seen before, and it's pretty entertaining thus far. But after this one...I really don't know where to go next due to my nonexistent experience with old movies and the sheer volume of stuff he was in.

So gaf, start listing me some good Price horror movies. I need more of this old school goodness in my veins, lol.

The Baron of Arizona

Perhaps the greatest Vincent Price movie.

His Kind of Woman
dir. John Farrow, Richard Fleischer

also starring Jane Russell, Jim Backus, Robert Mitchum, and Raymond Burr

While The City Sleeps

There. My three favorite Vincent Price movies. I know you said horror movies, but these are SO GOOD.

Witchfinder General, The Haunted Palace, House of Wax and House of Usher for some good period horror. House of Haunted Hill for some fun 50's cheese.

Theatre of Blood
House of Wax
Pit and the Pendulum

Price really was the best horror icon. I love Christopher Lee as much as the next guy, but you can't beat Price's voice and his jubilant demeanor.

One time in 10th grade English class we were in the middle of the Romantic Period and had been studying a lot of Poe. My teacher went off on vacation or something and had the substitute play the Vincent Price The Raven movie for us, assuming it would follow the poem I guess (he later admitted to never having seen it). That was my favorite class period ever. Our teacher was extremely confused when he had us write reports on it the next class.

Wtf amazon just seriously sold me a completely butchered, 4:3 pan and scan'd version of house of wax:

Come on amazon, this is 2 years ago netflix level bs =\

Moved onto the fly because amazon borked the house of wax vid, and this one is really good thus far. Much thanks to people who recommended it!

Also screw it, let's get some Christopher Lee movies up in this thread too.

Everything suggested already is awesome - but consider also The Tomb of Ligeia, another Roger Corman/Vincent Price team-up, which is genuinely quite spooky in places!

Oh, and Laura is great also. He's not really the main guy, but he's in it, and it's a classic film-noir.
