Here's Verendus's famous E3 prediction list from last year. There are 3 big JRPGs that should be revealed eventually. I'm assuming the other two are Nier Automata and I Am Setsuna. The Naval RPG is Sea of Thieves.

One of these games is going to Nintendo and the other may or may not be happening (sadly I'm guessing that's the FF6 remake).

Didn't the same thing happen last year?

"Where are the rumors, guys?" -> rumors hit 1-2 weeks before the show, remember siliconera?

"WTF, why is Sony showing everything before E3, they could've saved this Rathect & Clank gameplay video for the conference?" -> megatons galore

People say the same thing every year, and they're never right.

Even in the lesser years tons of stuff gets announced, especially if you look at E3 as a whole.

From next week on possibly. Hence this last year:

Pretty funny in hindsight.

it's missing his "horizon comes out this year and if it doesn't ban me" post from a few years back :^)

In addition to this thread, there are also lots of comments on how "E3 this year is going to be lackluster/have no hype" when it has lots of stuff already confirmed that are pretty exciting for all sides, and last year was the same, and then we got a hell of a show.

There have been plenty of rumors, just no actual visual leaks yet. For instance we've already heard about:

Norse God of War 4
Dead Don't Ride
Possible Sucker Punch Spiderman Game
Crash Bandicoot
PS4 Neo, which might not even be at E3
New Wolfenstein
Shadow of Mordor 2
Prey 2
Red Dead 3 (might be there)

We are right in the middle of Leak season so I would imagine a few things will come out between now and E3.

I hope I am wrong because I hate when leaks ruin the E3 conferences but it is inevitable.

Got my pie-in-the-sky predictions ready to go.

1) Half-Life 3 gets announced. It'll be so good, Michael Jackson, Prince, and David Bowie will be resurrected just for E3 to sing its praises in harmony.

2) Beyond Good & Evil 2: Beyond Thunderdome gets announced by Ubisoft. Fans will get excited, and then it'll be revealed it's an open-world game with towers and Uplay attached.

3) Mega Man Legends 3 gets resurrected. Capcom keeps it alive just for E3, knowing in advance they'll pull the plug on it two months later. They just like twisting the knife.

4) FromSoftware announces their new game: SillySouls. A colorful, wacky, cartoon landscape of rainbows and candy sprinkles and joy and happiness. It'll be the hardest game ever made.

5) Nintendo shocks us all with a true, proper Metroid game... Metroid: Another M. It'll play like Super Princess Peach, through the power of Samus's fluctuating, unbalanced emotions.

6) Hideo Kojima unveils his new game: Steel Cogs Harden. He'll show off a 90 minute cutscene from the game where the new hero teabags the main villain, Konrad Amigo.

7) Square Enix will announced Final Fantasy XVI. In 2027, we'll play it.

8) EA will promise unprecedented support for the Nintendo NX. They will never release a game on it, fulfilling their promises of their support being "unprecedented".

9) Sony will show off VR so good that thousands in attendance will confuse fantasy for reality and refuse to be unplugged, thus starting a war between the enslaved and the awoken as the machines rise and assume command over the weak-minded masses with VR games and entertainment, destroying any will to resist.

10) Ono unveils the Darkstalkers... Kickstarter.

I would to be actually surprised for once, instead of learning everything before the conference even starts.

Most tech and game related stuff leaks before they are properly announced.

Those aren't the JRPGs he was talking about. Nier is the crossover game and Setsuna is Square's new console IP. He kind of implies that FF6 is going to be a Nintendo game and the game that may or may not be happening is Sony's.

It was such a ridiculous notion that most people (including me) just said "yeah right" and shrugged it off.

Wasn't there one guy who pretty much leaked the big three for Sony's and everyone shitted on him and was later vertified?

For the stuff that's left, some thoughts:

- The J-RPGs are meant to be Sony collabs on some level. Haven't really seen the guy talk about them much since post-E3. Most people believe they don't exist at this point.
- A new Sly seems like a logical assumption to make, but no confirmation yet.
- A new Crash feels impossible, and like Verendus is screwing with us.
- The creator of Shadow Hearts is working on a new title, but he won't say what it is. Pretty sure it's not SH3 though.
- Between FF15, World of FF, and FF7: Remake I'm betting we won't hear about FFXVI until E3 2017 at the earliest.
- A new Parasite Eve sounds like BS, only Square had that thing they said a while back about trying to reinvigorate new IPs, and Motomu Toriyama has been silent for a couple years now. Feel free to connect the dots or erase them entirely.
- Capcom had an earnings thing not too long ago that brought up another Monster Hunter title that they expected to sell beneath what MH usually sells, and it supposedly wasn't Stories. This could be that, but I never found out what happened to it.
- DMC5 has been teased for awhile. A friend of mine pointed out the Pachinko thing and suggested the franchise was dead, but honestly I just don't see you remastering DMC4 AND DmC without it going somewhere.
- A new Prince of Persia sounds legitimately impossible. No idea WTF dude was talking about there.
- That cyberpunk action/adventure/RPG thing sounds lit, but I have no idea who could be making it. Unless 4A Games has a surprise for us. Their next game is supposed to be sandbox-y. (Total shot in the dark. Except the sandbox thing, that's real.)
- The Marvel Action/Adventure thing isn't even Verendus making stuff up. That's confirmed, it's just a matter of finding out what it is. SP! Spider-Man would be awesome, but I kinda want a great Iron Man game.
- There was a tease on the Soul Calibur Facebook page after Lost Swords got shut down that fans should "look forward to the next announcement". Is it real? Is it not? Who knows?

As far as this thread in general goes, well. We're still a ways off? Wait until about two weeks before and then let's see what happens. I feel like this year's going to be slightly boring--like Nirolak posted, most everything's expected.

Two of those JRPGs are probably the other Sony + FromSoftware collabs, and one has to be the Japan Studio game that's far off.

We got E3 of dreams last year with FF versus 13, Shenmue 3, FF7 remake, the last guardian.

We were only missing HL3 to end it as best E3 of all time but that's last. Either way there's really nothing E3 can pull after those surprises to surprise us anymore so everyone knows we're just waiting for them to show their cards until then.
