It most certainly is not among her worst. Her worst is some seriously shitty stuff.

I don't think I'd put this among her best, but its pretty solid. Better than most of Born this way, in fact.

EDIT: Both Katy Perry's new song and Lady gaga's pale in comparison to the One Direction song that got leaked.

First time I listened I thought it was OK. Second time it was boring already. I can do without the weird doom-pop goth verse, and the chorus is shallow. The hook the whole song is built around is uninspired.

I think this will sell records and get eaten up in the short term but the critics will pan it and it won't stick. Hope the album has some better tracks on it.

What's this new 1D song I keep hearing about? My 7-year old nephew loves them.

Trying to decide which is better between Applause and Roar, is like deciding which turd smells less like shit. Both are massively disappointing compared to both of these ladies' previous work, especially considering that they are headlining new albums.

ESPECIALLY when the song has such energy. The telephone video was completely misjudged IMO because it takes a three minute blast of pop and cuts it up and stretches it out over ten minutes. It kills the song stone dead.

Well it's already a good sign that this song doesn't have any of the heavy handed messages Born This Way had (that album felt quite a bit Tryhardy). It's just a fun dance song more akin to what was on The Fame.

Roar is on par with all of Perry's other work. Not sure what's so dissapointing when it falls in line with her TD stuff.

The only thing I like about Telephone is the muaic video. I normaly don't like splitting the song up and constant interuptions but Telephone's music video was too good.

Songs such as TEoG, GH, Scheisse, and BM take hot dumps on most TF/M tracks. TFM is her best album because of how consistent and top notch it was. However, BTW has some of her best tracks in her discography.

Yeah, much stronger debut than TD got actually, so hopeful for the rest of it.

Gaga has disappointed me, I had hoped she got this out of her system during her last era, and she'd go back to what she's good at, but this like a mash up of the two sounds and it's just messy. Totally listenable but also forgettable. Just expect more from her.

Roar is disappointing for exactly that reason. It sounds like it was taken off TD, there is absolutely no change whatsoever
When California Girls hit it set itself apart from her previous era and was fresh. Roar is decent, but I expected more from her
