I just started listening to her a few weeks ago. Someone posted one of her videos on FB. She's really good, though I grow tired of her music quick. I can only listen to a few of her songs at a time. Kind of like how I feel about Cat Power.

Summertime Sadness is the better song, though.
 
I bought her album a while a go and have been listening to it non-stop. There is just something about her voice. It's so... dreamy :) My favorite tracks are Blue Jeans, Without You, Dark Paradise, National Anthem, Summertime Sadness, and Lucky Ones.

And I just discovered some of her old songs that I really like as well: Elvis and Star For Nick.

Damn i just discovered her (blue jeans). I thought it's amazing.
Well i bought track from DD store named wrongly as Lana Del Ray - Blue Jeans
It is amazing i listened it all day and i wanted to buy whole album.
After this i saw this thread and read a litle and watched video of Blue Jeans form YT..

Here I was thinking why happened to that Lana girl the other day. She totally fell of the main stream. I wonder who the next girl is.

trippy JFK video is some real 1999 shit, you know, back when Marilyn Manson did it.
 
The best thing about her videos is that we get extended instrumentals.

Blue Jeans had that fantastic extended violin intro, and this video has a great outro.

God I love the Born to Die album: woman voice, poppy triphop beats, and beautiful orchestrated instrumentals. <3 <3
 
"Vocal training doing her good"? Jesus.... that sounds like something an amateur would use to learn how to sing properly, not a professional A-lister who gets written about in Pitchfork.

And that's the problem with "Lana Del Rey" - she's an amateur singer, who some record exec thought was pretty and charismatic enough to create a franchise out of. They spent millions of dollars creating an image, wrote her an album, bought her celebrity, and then gave her vocal lessons and taught her about music... She's a complete fabrication of the record industry. I mean she was a "major star" before she eve had an album out after all.

I liked it. From the intro, to the marriage, to seeing the cute look biracial kids to the honeymoon to the ride (JFK memory) to the death of Rocky. Good video and that is one of my favorite songs too.

Her album Born To Die is awesome! Dem lips man!!!
