Wood chip mulch is my pet peeve.
It's pure garbage in pretty much every way. It does not help your soil. Low quality wood chip mulch can contain chemicals depending on what it was sourced from. Wood mulch is high in carbon so it can eat up beneficial nitrogens. Wood mulch can cause fungus and mold to grow, which is especially bad if you use it near your house.
The entire landscaping world needs to stop using wood mulch and switch to compost mulch.

Lawns. Don't like them. Be thankful I am not currently a landowner / your neighbor, because my lawn would be an overgrown prairie. Wild and beautiful.

psyche! raked is so much better. stepped looks godawful. jesus. it looks like the installer failed geometry. they probably have nightmares about pythagoras' theorem.
