If we actually did get a third KI rep I kind of do think it should be Medusa, even if Hades upstaged her. Technically she's one of the few characters in Uprising to be in more than one game and was even the main villain of said game. KIU's interior boxart presented her as among the "Big Three" along with Pit and Palutena. And even if she took a backseat to Hades, she at least still helped out in the final battle at the end, so that's something.

Besides Snake, I could not care less for other returning characters. I'll be really disappointed if we get Wolf as DLC. And then I will proceed to buy the Wolf DLC, just like all the other returning characters in the form of paid DLC.

I just threw in another vote for Snake and Banjo, probably the two requested outsider characters that are most improbable of joining atm for understandable reasons. Besides those two, I want Nintendo to focus on giving their own underappreciated characters some shine. Give me Fawful.

Honestly, there is no Nintendo character left that would generate any major hype. That's also a bad sign for Smash 5 (or a good sign when they'll try something like a big story mode again to make up for it but this time actually put some effort into it, cutscenes aside).

Bayonetta or someone similar is the only character I can think of that would still approach people that don't like Smash yet, that would actually be kinda shocking and generate some hype on the internet. They could make her as unique as Ryu, maybe make her the first Smash character with classic combos (something like A > A > B > A or B > B > B > A > A, for example) and add kicks to A and punches to B. Or whatever.

So, assuming that the ballot actually leads to new characters. how long do you think it will take for them to get made? Spring '16 seems like a safe bet, but I'm not sure how long it will take them to count up the votes and choose from them the ones they think can work/fit.

Eh I solidly think this is being used as a tiebreaker, not an actual list, assuming that the voters match the will of many other smaller polls on different sites, it would be pretty easy to guess who people want in. I'd love them to release results though.
