Last game where the visuals blew your mind?

I recently got a good 4K and it makes just about everything look significantly better. Skyrim and GtaV look incredible on my XboneS. Tonight I fire up Horizon ZD and expect greatness.

Ori and Blind Forest is the most recent that really blew my mind. I hadn't played a 2d platformer in ages and was mesmerized by the whole experience
except for the escape sequences as they were tense as fuck, lol.

The view distance in Wildlands is incredible. Not only can you see that road way down in the middle of the crater you can see car lights on it at night.

Ratchet and Clank for ps4

I must be alone, but Im playing uncharted 4 right now and I dont think it looks mesmerizing as some people say. It looks ok, but... its just unchaterd 3 with better IQ and framerate. Explosions and that..

Horizon and The order look much better.

Mario Kart 8 looks amazing too.

How does 4K tv makes Skyrim and GTA V look better on Xbox One S? They only run in 1080p.

I'd say it just looks sharper compared to my old 1080p tv. The biggest improvement is how more vibrant colors are. I was wowed when my Xbone home page fired up for the first time.

Netflix and Amazon streaming also looks better even if it's just 1080p. Netflix does stream some 4k content.

I only recently started The Witcher 3 on PC, and even though I can't run it at max settings, it looks so damn good! So that blew me away. However, I prefer small attention to detail over bombastic graphics. So before TW3, I was most blown away by The Division and the way it gave you a really dirty and messed up New York.

I kind of wish Horizon and Zelda weren't in the same week though...

I haven't played that many ps4 and xbox one games these past few years, but I DID play a little bit of Uncharted 4, and it looks spectacular.
One game i beat recently that has great visuals is the first Shenmue game. I simply couldn't believe a game could look that good for 1999.

Witcher 3: Blood and Wine. Fluid animations. Lively, colorful art direction. No loading.

Just a gorgeous game.

The dancing at the wedding comes to mind. The subtle difference to Geralts expressions
due to someone else being 'in charge'
were perfect.

Sadly GTA V on PS4 or Killzone Shadowfall. For whatever reason even when other people are praising visuals the rest may seem nice and I like them but nothing that blows my mind.

GTA V still impress me though (part of that may be because I know it was originally a previous gen game and part of it is because they are nice enough and the world is so pretty you feel like you are in the world when you are in it). Shadowfall was a one time playthrough game so don't know if its visuals still impress me.

And so far no one does water near as well as GTA V does.
