I remember thinking "meh let him relax" when people had been saying this all year..

But know I legitimately actually believe his services are required. Like, right now.
 
Watching it now. I don't think I've ever seen it on TV (I never remember when it's on)....just occasionally online when it comes across my recommended videos.
 
Such a great episode. I'd like to say next year is gonna be better, but now I'm not too sure.

I really like Jon Stewart but more voices yelling into the echo chamber wouldn't have done anything to stop Trump.

What the fuck guys? I'm in Mexico and until now I've been able to watch every video that LWT uploads to YouTube. Why is this one different???? Will they make it available at a later hour? What the hell!?

I think it's probably because it's the entire episode.

It's blocked here in Japan too.

I know people say this all the time, but he was hammering the Bush admin relentlessly up until 2004, and that didn't stop him from getting re-elected. Nor was he able to prevent the bloodbaths Dems got in 2010 and 2014.

Aside from repeatedly calling out Trump's actions for what they were, and saying again repeatedly how dangerous Trump was, and on top of that, straight out saying "Fuck Trump"? What else you want one comedian to do?

His show doesn't have any commercials because it's on HBO.

If it was on network or regular cable, it'd be an hour show or something with commercials.
 
I'm glad he actually gave organizations to donate to. It gives people something to do. It's amazing how much we took for granted these last 8 years
 
You know thinking about this more

I think the advent of those echo chamber opinion pieces and even YouTube channels that give people confirmation bias have reduced the impact and importance of traditional media and this election was the first major result of that

I don't know where we go from here, because I think people would view this video by Last Week Tonight and put it on the same level as something posted by say Grade A Under A. We're fucked.
 
Yeah, youpak and eachvideo aren't working. Guess since it's the full episode, HBO is being stricter than usual and even the usual redirect sites aren't working.


And yeah, this year has been pretty shit.
