I refuse to watch on air/hulu. If anything interesting happens, I'd like a videotape sent to a nondescript PO BOX which I will make available to you in the near future. Other than that, I don't want to give leno any Hulu hits, Uverse/DVR rating points (I'm pretty sure that's tracked somewhere), Youtube hits, or anything else.
You could probably check out Gawker or Mediaite since I think they record all their own clips.

After seeing basically the same lineup of Olympic athletes interviewed already on Colbert last week, here's hoping it takes some interest from Leno. Probably not, but here's to hoping.

Even if it does, it won't play on TV. They fill-in quiet spots with a laugh track before it airs.

I know because I know a guy who participated in a talent segment once. He said when he did his thing there was pretty much no audible reaction from the crowd, but sure enough, when it aired, there were gasps and laughter.

The full interview Ferguson did with Stephen Fry is now up. It's not 'funny', but it's a joy to watch. Stephen Fry is a wonderful man, and so is Craig Ferguson, and combined they're very interesting to listen to.

Intro: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D31K0PSD7uE
The interview (4 parts): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZOHdhOTzI1o

Short shot of the not-present audience: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BzCnHRSeYwg
Outro: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uF2rEOKFHrY
Now this is watchable. I hate his forced monologues and bad skits. Love this format.

That was supposed to be for the one year anniversary of conans show, sometime in june. Not for the very "first" Leno tonight show

Really why did they want to do that? Leno fans?

Looking like he's doing a decent job of keeping his staff... a reassuring sign for wherever he ends up!

He's loyal to his staff and his staff is loyal to him. I have no doubt that whereever he ends up, everyone who worked with him originally will get a call to work.

Is this the first time Conan has used the word "fuck" in public?

Well, he didn't use the word, he's used an acronym; so hardly the same thing.

And i'm pretty sure WTF was on the tonight show at some point in relation to twitter tracker.

Any word on Leno's ratings?

Jay Leno's return scores lower ratings than Conan O'Brien's Tonight Show debut

Jay Leno's back, and it's like he never left.

NBC's Tonight Show returned Monday evening to a rating that exceeded Leno's comparable Tonight average, yet underperformed Conan O'Brien's Tonight debut last June.

In preliminary returns, Tonight drew a 5.4 metered market household rating and a 2.0 adults 18-49. That's up 32% compared to Leno's first quarter average as Tonight host from 2009. Versus Conan O'Brien's fourth quarter average of 2.0, Leno was up 170% (this doesn't include O'Brien's January show-concluding rise, though, which would reduce this percentage somewhat).

Compared to recent NBC talk show premieres, Leno's performance was less impressive.

Leno was 24% lower than Conan O'Brien's debut as Tonight host -- and that was just switching timeslots, out of season, and without an Olympic run-up. Leno was also down 55% from his own Jay Leno Show premiere at 10 p.m. last fall.

David Letterman's Late Show was easily beaten last night, drawing a 3.0 household rating. NBC's Late Night with Jimmy Fallon posted a 2.1, nearly double his 1.1 average in the fourth quarter.

Well that's good that he didn't do better than Conan but his ratings were still kinda high for his average, prolly just cause it was his return. So did anyone else wanna reach through the screen and slap the back of Jamie Foxx's head last night? I dunno why but the set seemed kinda cheap last night as well, maybe it was the fake plants and the fact that everything seemed so slapped together. Still I'm glad he didn't steal Conan's set that would have been harder to deal with.

There was a moment when they came back from commercials and Jamie wouldn't sit the fuck down. If you looked at Jay's face, he definitely looked annoyed.

I need to listen to that when I get home, because I love hearing my favorite celebs swear. The first time I heard Stern say "fuck" it was like seeing the Grand Canyon for the first time.

Monday – Leno (4.2/10) , Letterman (3.3/8)
Tuesday – Leno (4.0/10) , Letterman (2.9/7) (Leno -.2)
Wednesday – Leno (3.6/9) , Letterman (3.3/8) (Leno -.4)

You think Letterman will hold steady to that 3.0-3.3 while Leno continues to slide down for the rest of the week?

And Letterman is kind of down from previous weeks, even when he was vs Conan.

Wow, I wonder what the guests were on Wednesday...Pretty sharp drop, I thought it would remain at the same level for the first week and then start dropping.

Very promising. I hope Jay dips below Dave. His first show wasn't horrible but then again, I only watched about 15 minutes of it.
